Yes, this is a glitch, but whatever cause I wanted to share how to do it for those who want to obtain the police outfit. Mainly cause it makes no sense as to why it isn't available to buy in free roam

There is absolutely no reason to patch this. There is zero harm, it doesn't give the player any special perks, it's just an outfit. Why they didn't make it purchasable in the first place is beyond me.

It was a console specific glitch.

 

Only way it made it to PC was if you glitched the outfit on console and made sure it was equipped (being worn) before doing character transfer.

The transfer to PC killed my cop outfit.

 

Yeah, me too.

When you transfer to PC, all your saved outfits are lost.

 

Only way to retain the cop outfit was to have it equipped at your last session on console and then perform the character transfer to PC.

The last worn outfit would transfer over as the default outfit equipped, and after transfer is complete you can save the current outfit.

 

Wish I had known this prior to transferring.

It's value will increase if Rockstar release it - because those who actually want it can purchase it and use it properly.

 

There is no reason whatsoever to keep this outfit unobtainable.

I can only wish that should Rockstar change their mind about this, they expand the ability to purchase uniforms to the other Law Enforcement Agencies, and other Emergency Services as well (Paramedics/Fire Fighters).

Not for the people who use it for roleplaying and personal games; not to just get attention or have it's "rare" factor.

to be honest, i wont mind droppin a obscene amount of money for the police uniform, if wearing the thing make so you cant get a wanted level while battling in freeroam.

 

i'd pay 2-3 millions for the uniform if it include that perk!

nobody has ever been reported for the glasses/mask or mask/he,helmet bug.

 

nobody will be reported for this.

Quick question... can a modder give you the outfit and then save it? There's one in the session right now and doesn't seem to be a douche.
