Yes, this is a glitch, but whatever cause I wanted to share how to do it for those who want to obtain the police outfit. Mainly cause it makes no sense as to why it isn't available to buy in free roam

There is absolutely no reason to patch this. There is zero harm, it doesn't give the player any special perks, it's just an outfit. Why they didn't make it purchasable in the first place is beyond me.

Questions like this are stupid. Maybe it's easier to fix this than the deformation bug and maybe that's why they fix some things quicker than others. Like holy sh*t. The character deformation is also 100% temporary in nearly almost every case.

uh huh.. doesn't make sense.

Either way, your 100% almost temp stat, tell that to the numerous guys who have to deal with Rockstar support to make their characters again. If by temporary you mean this, then yeah sure, Still end up wasting much of your time.

 

My question was rather rhetorical, its most of a pondering statement. Like when you look up at the sky and say wonder if there's something else out there.. I'm not looking for an answer, I'm just stating it.

 

Thing is, I don't get why you tried to attack it... weird.

 

OT.

Looks like it still works on last gen, just can't get it to work on Ps4 anymore. This goes for all outfits from adversary mode, having tried heist method again though..

How did you get it to work on last gen? Did you try on PS3?

Since it seems it has been patched I sincerely hope R* release a "Career Day" Update giving us the outfits to be firemen, cops, trashmen, etc.

I'm FILLED with dissapointment that I missed this glitch!!!! The cop uniform is so damn badass, but at the same time I think if R* made it available for everyone to buy I wouldn't want it as much... I really hope a new method is found to do this but in the meantime I'm honestly very jealous of everyone who has it now it can't be 'got' :D

And thats why I love PC, not because I want to cheat, but because I dont want to spend 3 hours trying to get a CVPI when it should spawn all the time. Everyone should be allowed to wear duffel bags, trash man suits or police uniforms if they want. Not letting people leads to people finding a way.

ok guys I would like to emailing rockstar games support to add an extra hairstyles like any female police officer with colours and for male facial hairs includes a mustache like any police officer around USA.

It's probably not going to happen unless C* add it as a purchasable outfit...and the PC version is going to be nothing more than a ban fest...I guarantee it!

I would argue that this isn't really a bad thing. People seem to really enjoy getting rare stuff and things they're technically not supposed to have. A great source of joy among players would be taken away if Rockstar just let us do whatever we want, on command, all the time.

 

Players really underestimate the entertainment value of certain limitations.

I know right... It's like they think there's 1000 people active and ready to get stuck into it. Considering its still an active money making game It'll surely be much more secure than IV.

In other words GTA Online economy for PC will crash. RIP GTA Online, you will be the new GTA 4.

TL;DR below!

 

You all really don't understand how GTA IV went with modding, Rockstar never supported it, they were burnt after the "Hot Coffee" fiasco and patched the game frequently to stop mods, along with some small bug fixes. They never were able to stop mods once they started. Once they gave up, the mods evolved into the amazing pieces of art you see today. Those authors are still around and plan on trying like hell to mod this game, NOTHING can stop a dedicated man with a goal except an even more dedicated man. And seeing as they have benefited in sales from mods such as the HULK mod/IRONMAN mod and LCPD:FR I don't think they're going to try as hard to f*ck with people.

 

The first hour will not see mods, people will be investigating file structure, finding ways to open files, edit them... By the end of Day 1people may have found some basic workarounds to viewing files. Day 2 will see furthering of this some files may reveal some more fun information such as canceled game features such as funMW2 has found in his wonderful exploits. Day 3 we could see a very basic script mod, or something out of nowhere, who knows! from then on things only get easier...

 

tl;dr Every passing second from release is another second modders spend their own personal time... for free... working towards modding the game.

 

As for Police Uniforms, I assume some of the first mods for Single Player will add Micheal's LSPD Uniform that was cut from the game, maybe a basic script to set him to the Police team.

Assuming they don't have bigger, profit-threatening issues to deal with at the time. People not being able to connect and demanding refunds is a pretty big issue.

After it's re-over it'll be un-over again in another 2 hours when modders release there own patches. Its a cycle of who can patch faster for the other, and modders won in GTA IV, they'll win again. There are more modders than developers at rockstar. Thousands upon thousands more.
