Jammsbro
The controls for movement in GTA V/O world have been pretty basic. I think we could all benefit from even a secondary step up in character movement and controls. What we need at the very basic level is the ability to quick turn fast. And not the version we already have. I would suggest that holding Circle (I think it's B on Xbox) and flicking either side or back would quick turn the character in that direction. It would add more possibilities, danger and possibilities to combat and free roam fighting. The version of quick turn we have now is less instinctive than it could be and only allows for read turns. The ability to crouch while aiming. This would increase the accuracy stat slightly but still allow for combat rolls. THe downside would be that you are prone in the very short time it takes you to go from standing to crouching and vice versa. The ability to lie down and take up a sniper position. This would would on rifles and handguns but not any weapon with a large magazine. Accuracy would increase and players profile shape would decrease. The downside would be that players are prone while in this position and while accuracy would increase and the player would be a smaller target, they would more static. Players in sniper possition would still be able to execute combat rolls. But only to either the left or right side. Target hold facility. We have a "wild fire option" when in cover to simply put our weapon around a corner and fire. I've killed plenty of enemies (SP) with headshots doing this. Target Hold would be a feature where players who have maxed out their shooting stat unlock a target hold stat where they could put a target onto a character or player and then all subsequent shots would latch onto that character. This would allow players to run while firing at a player and still keeping target. The Target Hold would be wild at lower levels but increase in accuracy as the stat increased. It would never be a complete lock on though. It would be used to offer covering or suppresive fire while moving rather than outright killing. As soon as a player broke eye contact, a very quick timer would run down and when it hit zero then target hold would be lost. Any comments? I think the game would be a fair abount move entertaining if the character movement possibilities were increased even to these leves. JamieJohnWard
Yes to the sniper thing, ive been saying it for months!! The sniper battles in the dessert are great but it feels unatural not to be able to lay down on the floor and standing up is just ridiculous as an easy target. There definitely needs to be a few more options to character movement, especially for close combat with gun fights around street corners and running away from each other. hgboy, Lazerbox and Jammsbro 3 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/774871-advanced-character-movement-and-controls/#findComment-1067124975 Share on other sites

Jammsbro
Lying down in a sniper posture could be a small part of it. You could buy and equip a ghillie suit (camo for snipers) that would either hide your character name or alter it to the background of the viewing player, making it harder to spot you. It wouldn't work for freeroam but could be a very fun mission game where a team of players have to hunt down a lone sniper. xXRobbie98Xx
I'd like to be able to change from standing to crouch to prone.
