Speed Achievements...

So, I've only had limited time to play since release of heists with the servers being a nightmare every night I come home from work, so our squad just got Series A done last night.

 

Anyone done the speed achievements for each heist yet?

 

We said we will go back & do the CM other elite challenges with the same group after we complete the final heist so everyone knows their role & doesn't die by rolling over the Technical & crushing the gunner off a motorway bridge...

 

Some of the speed achievements seem a bit far fetched at the moment.

 

Does anyone know if the trip skip cancels the speed achievement? Or if you can straight up save time using that.

 

I got Fleeca under 6 minutes in the second run on my alt character but everything was as smooth as can be so not sure where the time is found.

 

Let me know if you guys have been able to get the speed achievements in any of the heists yet, I will give it a proper run over the weekend!

I'm also wondering how to get fast times, most notably on Series A (both cases of escorting two vans while having the Reble with machine gun). The vans go full throttle the whole way, even taking a "shortcut" using the highway but it was around 10 minutes, not the 6 minute or so. Organizing the team would definitely help but I feel some of these are like the speed achievement in GTA IV where you had to beat R* times on different game modes. I never got that achievement.

I think I actually know how to get that one.

 

I took a great shortcut with a bit of risk obviously, but my teammates did not follow so they made us miss the achievement.

 

Basically I was driving the big truck, and drove straight onto the train tracks and just floored it until just after the Lost MC camp & then got off and jumped onto that long road that takes you into the city.

 

Once I'm near Martins house I get on the highway a little bit further up (by cutting across the grass) and then drive on the left side of the road past the junction & there's a little shortcut down to the warehouse just after where the junction is, so you don't have to drive around.

 

Edit: the risk obviously being that a train might come while you're on the track and inside the tunnel. But it didn't happen to me, it actually showed up as I was getting off the track near the Lost MC camp.
