M0rk
Wait, Does DLC weapons automatically appear in Single Player too or just Multiplayer? Just in Multiplayer homie
Rock Howard
Anyone know why you can't buy the Rockstar Pass anymore for this game (or any of the DLC, for that matter) on the non-Steam retail PC version? Seems to have been like this for a while now... Anyone know anything about the above question that I asked earlier?
BUT THE BENZ
maybe because they stopped supporting the game? no idea really. one of the DLCs wouldn't install for my brother who purchased the game on steam like a year ago...I think that was never solved either

Th3MaN1
Try disconnecting from the net, and when the launcher finds out you're not connected, there should be an option to start in offline mode.

LFC_Buc
I have just started Max Payne 3 and have a couple of Questions. 1) How do i save the Game? 2) Where do i see what % i have towards the 100% completion? 3) If i go through a section without find the Golden Gun Parts/Clues can i go back to find them? Thanks in advance.
BUT THE BENZ
oh man...from the top of my head: 1)save game: you can't manually save. it saves automatically and you can later select a different chapter to either re-play it or use it as a new point from where you can once again start a whole playthrough. 2)progress: you can see that on the social club account you made/have. it shows your overall progress, says how many chapters you played, what clues and stuff you found. 3) yeah you can replay the chapter and it lets you choose your starting point (say you know the golden gun part is just in the last part of the chapter, then you can load up starting point 12 of 14 or so). there is usually an "all golden gun locations" video to find on youtube which can help you out have fun with the game, it's one of the best ever made! Thanks for the reply. So once i've completed all 17 Chapters and found 84 Golden Gun Parts and 65 Clues then thats game complete? Kind of, even though you can unlock lots of stuff after you beat the story once. You can unlock different difficulty modes, amongst others the old school mode which is awesome. the arcade modes offers you lots of hours of grinding. Also, if you wanna replay certain chapters/checkpoints you can enable "cheats" like unlimited bullet time (which is epic sh*t right there) or unlimited ammo and stuff. you need to unlock those "cheats" though by playing the arcade modes "new york minute" and "score attack" - which are very much fun aswell. and then, once you're done with singleplayer, head over to multiplayer and you'll find that within it lies the true power of this game. the gunplay gets so intense online, and you get to use bursts and items to further strengthen your shooting skills. if you wanna make it to rank 50, legend 10 (which is going from rank 1 to 50, 9 times) you have a good load of hours ahead of you. you can customize your avatar there and unlock special avatars and sh*t. it was a blast to get to the top and max out my online character. Eurotrash
Stupid question but are the Clues/Golden Guns part of the storyline or can you do the story then go back for them? You have to find all the golden parts in singleplayer to unlock the golden weapon models in multiplayer. And they are not saved along with your multiplayer data, if you reformat the PC or lose your singleplayer progress for any reason you have to find them all over again. Which is just one of many things I wish people would take into account when saying Max Payne 3 is a good port. Anyway don't feel bad about them. Gold and chrome weapon textures are just some half-assed shaders that cover the weapon completely. As for the collectibles themselves, you can go back and collect what you've missed after beating the story. BUT THE BENZ
@ LFC sometimes the social club needs time to sync your progress...sometimes it gets a bit messy and has the numbers wrong. I had the same problem, and ended up with a mixture of true and false stats...kind of. I played the game so much and beat it numerous times so I got the stats where I wanted them by the end... Even Games For Windows Live wasn't this bad. I couldn't backup my data then either but at least it let me play the damn game -.-

BUT THE BENZ
hmm...there are achievements. a lot really and I thought they were pretty cool, the descriptions for them and what you had to do to achieve them. you definitely get an achievement for simply beating the story. maybe your social club account wasn't properly linked or something. I know for a fact that there's plenty achievements to grind for.

Edit: Have started on Medium,am i right in thinking i don't have to find the Clues/Gun Parts again, just do the Story? Even Games For Windows Live wasn't this bad. I couldn't backup my data then either but at least it let me play the damn game -.- Dude, what? I've gotten a new motherboard twice in the past three years, and every time I had to re-install everything, and re-verify crap because every program recognized my system as a "new computer" because of the new MOBO and OS re-install, I never had this problem with Max Payne 3. Simply keeping a backup of the Max Payne 3 files and folders, and copying them back into "My Documents" would save all my data. Golden Guns, Clues, Multiplayer, Graphics Settings, Checkpoints, Story Progress, everything. It was literally like I never changed anything; able to pick up exactly where I left off. The only thing I don't like is that re-observing clues in Story Mode would result in silence. The dialogue wouldn't repeat. But it was like that on every platform.
