Do you need JP to start a heist?

Recommended Posts

No, you just have to wait around for Lester to call you again. If it takes a while, try doing a random job.. as soon as you finish it; you'll usually get a call right away.

Question answered.

Thanks for pointing that out, friend, wouldn't of known otherwise.

Its so strange that JP (Job Points) have confused everyone. Job points are used to determine who wins a playlist of jobs, much like a points system that you see in every championship. So the person that has the highest number of job points wins the playlist.

JP have nothing to do with heists, I have no idea where so many people got that notion from. Right from the get go it was imo clear what JP were for. The only time Ive ever read or heard anything about JP being related to heists was on this forum recently. Where did this misinformation come from? As OP is by far not the only person that is confused about JP

Why would you need Japan to start a heist?

The Kuruma you use in the first heist is based of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X

Which is a car that comes from Japan.

So you need those JP points to respawn another.

Nailed it.

Because A) not everyone plays a lot of playlists, and B) you can't play contact or heist missions as part of a playlist, but you still get JP for them, which just further confuses people about what the hell they're for...
