Armored Kuruma or Normal Insurgent?

Recommended Posts

I hate the look of the armored Kuruma. Yesterday I spawned into a session and right by Weazel Plaza there was a chromed primary/lime green secondary armored Kuruma. The owner had not locked it (He was in his apartment). Cake!!!!! So I took it, smashed it into so many walls you wouldn't believe. It was a wreck by the time I finished. I drove fast up the stairs to Weazel and it landed upside down on, balancing on two hand rails. Then I put proximity mines around it. When the owner finally came out, I called Lester and went off the radar. The owner stood still, looking like he was thinking what had happened. He went over to it and BOOOOOOM. 5 proximity mines at once. He and his f*cking car got it good. If I see one more kid chroming ANYTHING, they're eligible for the same treatment.

Which one is better for doing heists and missions?

Both are PV's, Both are armored and the prices are near eachother

Insurgent has armored windows but Kuruma's windows are not fully bulletproof

Also kuruma is way more faster than Insurgent

Why not switch it up and use them both. I know, I know, mind blown.

That insurgent is so going to get nerfed soon.

People can't really bitch that much about it, I mean save for the pick-up (which has weaker armor) it's strictly a defensive tool, not quite the same as the OG Rhino. That and there's also a whole bunch of ways to deal with those guys so people should just get smart and get good.

Armored karuma is better The only thing the Insurgent isn't bulletproof at all it's really good at ramming and it's explosive resistant, your mostly going to run into people shooting you in Free roam and PvE. And if someone blows up your Karuma they have to pay 7k for insurance and pay for their explosives.

Sky_Light12

armored kuruma :

90% bullet protection

headlight won't destroyed easily

smallest deformation vehicle

this car can maintain control even though crashes into someone's car ( exception aganist larger vehicle or dubsta , as dubsta is most powerful SUV )

has enough power to deform interceptor's tires , effectively hamper their performance , even ramming through roadblocks ( except aganist police SUV)

double turbo

insurgent :

80% bullet protection ( due to windshields is not bulletproof )

carry up to 7 passenger

tremendous ramming power , has enough " strength " to kill drivers , especially in high speeds

able to compress car easily , but not easy as rhino tank

durability from explosives

high caliber of ramming power , this vehicle can breach through roadblock consist of SUV/police riot with ease

police interceptor can't cause lose control by ramming it from behind due to vehicle's mass , weight and durability

I have both.

Kuruma is definitely harder to get shot out of. It is quicker, faster and more agile. I like it in freeroam when I don't want to worry about getting shot at, but don't want to go to passive mode. I find it more practical in more situations.

Insurgent is definitely like driving a fast tank without the cannon. It can take multiple explosions and rams the sh*t out of pretty much anything and everything. The only problem, the driver is not safe from bullets from the side or the front. More of a fun toy which does have it's practical points as well.

Faster/Agile = Kuruma

Safer from bullets = Kuruma

Safer from explosions = Insurgent

More fun to mess around in = Insurgent

Get good...lol. Yeah, an armored SUV should be as strong as a tank... Let's try not to resort to cliche online insults about a player's ability.

I honestly don't care about how powerful it is, but it is absolute BS that I have to pay 16,000 for blowing one up after the driver killed me 3 times.

The armored Karuma is the car you will probably use the most as it is a great overall 4-door sports car with great protection to bullets

However If you want to have tons of fun then buy the insurgent, for the ramming power alone. Its the best thing in the world to send cars flying, It also has great protection to explosives and is pretty fast for its size.

I have both of these and they are probably my two favorite cars in the game right now

just in case it hasn't been mentiond, the armored kuruma is awd, the insurgent is rwd.

try going up a mountain in the rain, like the humane emp delivery setup; one will, one won't.

Don't you love when you ask a question and 1 person answers it but 20 others give opinions not remotely related?

The answer is the Armored Kuruma.

Why: Because of speed, size and bulletproofing not offered by Insurgent.

Additional supporting statements:

1. Contact missions are mostly about being shot at by AI with bullets. Kuruma allows you to practically ride into the middle of a spawn and take them down without taking damage front/rear. If you're taking damage then chances are you're too close to a mook.

2. Prior to Heists release, all you needed was a Buzzard, a fast bike (e.g. Akuma), the AP handgun and a rear-protection vehicle (Zentorno, Jester w/louvre, Entity and a few others I'm too lazy to name right now). The Savage and Kuruma make Contact Missions into a cakewalk. You should have a 90% successful ratio with these two.

3. Heist are a waste of time, whether you pugging or have a team of friends, when compared to Contact Missions. You still make more money per hour faster doing CM than Heists and also have a greater success ratio.

4. Heists aren't as vehicle-viable as CMs. Most heists are about getting from A to B, then you're forced on-foot or a heist-specific vehicle. The Kuruma is still the better default vehicle. There's only two heists where I'd recommend actually using a bike, one being the Humane Lab stealth raid.

I just bought the Karuma and fully modded it for about 800k. It doesn't drive that well, feels very heavy. Prefer my Zentoro It's x10 faster and 100% bullet proof back

It is heavy. It is so that you can breeze through many standard police cruisers and small vehicles with ease.

Kuruma and Insurgent are nearly on par in terms of performance, but Insurgent is heavier and it's easier to drive it Bad Boys style, ramming everything.

Back in the early days of the update, Kuruma was nearly invincible to small arms fire, but right now you can be easily shot out with carbine rifle and your doors may be dismounted with heavy shotgun. Basically, doors are very weak in Kuruma and you've got absolutely no protection against explosives. What is very important, Kuruma is not highlighted on the map, so it's a nice attack vehicle: fast in, fast out. You should know, that you can't throw out explosives out of the Kuruma.

In missions, Kuruma is absolute winner: you can easily complete such hardcore missions as Death from above with it with near to 0 skill (I don't think death from above is the mission to show skill, because the entire idea of this mission is quite idiotic, so it's a matter of workarounds you will be able to find to succeed in it).

Main dangers: Carbine rifle, explosives, group of players.

Main advantages: unmarked on the map, mission-friendly, pretty small.

Insurgent, on the other hand is the vehicle with completely different logic and it's more defensive: nearly indifferent to explosives with a very small (but still penetrable) rear window and ability to ram through everything it's the vehicle to go if you're on the run and outnumbered. Insurance premium of $16,000 will force your opponents to place a bounty on your head or will make them suffer in their attempts to blow you up.

In missions (or afainst aimbot) you're pretty much as protected as in any car like Zentorno or Jester.

One of the tricks with the Insurgent is suicide bombing without suicide: you basically drive around with 2 stickies (front and rear) and in case of any danger, get closer to your opponent and blow him up. Jokes on him, you will be able to do that again until troubles will catch up.

Main dangers: off-radar players ahead of you in auto-aim or just a player in cover with auto-aim, your windows are weak and you're exposed. Bounty will null your strategy of relying on insurance fee: just for $2,000 you're wide open to all of the jets and helicopters with a $16,000 bill to pay by yourself.

Main advantages: explosive-proof, explosives-friendly (you can throw everything from it), very heavy, massive thing to use as cover.

TL;DR: In free-aim lobbies you're nearly immune to everything in Insurgent.

Tip: you should get both of them.

I have both and I like both.

They are both good in missions and heists, but if safety in free roam is important to you and if you can only buy one now: Insurgent.

If you don't care about free roam: Kuruma (armored).

Karuma makes some missions easier. Especially with those that offer little if any cover.

Insurgent is much more fun though. Can take several explosives(more if you armor it the whole way) to protect you from explosive greifers. 18k insurance bill to, take chunks of jet greifers wallets. Just sucks when you accidentally fall into the water.......

The Armored Karuma. It's faster and has more armor than the Insurgent. The only armored part on the insurgent is the back. But I I think the insurgent in general is More fun to drive. I knock all the NPC's Arses into next Tuesday when I drive it. 😜

How hard is it to spell the name of the car correctly? I'm extremely curious, why is this particular case of misspelling is SO popular?

I dont think you have ever driven an Insurgent through the mine field that is GTA:O, have you?

Honestly, just get both, that way you have a mission car and an anti-greifer truck. You ever notice how a lot of players cant aim for crap with a gun? They use explosives instead, thats where the Insurgent really shines man, shines bright like the sun on a hot day... real nice.

I'm sorry I didn't know Spelling mattered here. But just so I don't offend anyone I'll correct myself anyway. The Karin Kuruma.

No I have both and I have driven both. But I agree with you. Two is better than one and you get the best of both worlds that way.
