Yes, if you go to the ammunation the table inbetween the outfits and the armor vests there you can check out the gear like earpieces nightvision goggles etc.

That and the rebreather unlocks after the humane labs heist.

 

If you go to ammu-nation, the center rack in between the jackets and the armor is where you can buy new "gear" such as the rebreather, the NVG's, and earpieces.

yea after you beat the humane labs heist. BTW anyone know a quicker way to turn them on? I wasn't on the ground team in heists so I didnt get the info they did. All i know is you can turn them on in the inventory

So far AFAIK, the ear piece is just a cosmetic (maybe so it doesn't take up a mask slot or something, idk) but I don't really use it.

 

The rebreather does exactly as you expect. No more lung capacity.

 

I /think/ the mask does but don't quote me. Haven't tested it yet.

 

Not sure about NVG. Again, don't use 'em.

The rebreather sounds amazing! I can't wait to get a hold of it. Though now it's going to be REALLY easy to escape from cops. I used to dive under water with 5 stars and eat snacks when my maxed out lung capacity ran out. Worked every time. Now i don't even need snacks lol.

I have the nv goggles and the rebreather in my inventory and I can use them just fine, but if I go under "Gear" in Ammunation, it shows as locked.

My recollection from the mission is the night vision came on automatically. I don't remember being told how to turn it on or off, I just noticed that once I got out of the vehicle at the designated spot, night vision was on.

Hey guys, i stumbled on this "new gear" section in ammu nation, problem is i did not yet played the humane lab missions but i saw the nvgs , but do we get the 2 holes balaclava like this one for male characters ? : (Female under the balaclava btw)

It looks like it is the balaclava under the nvgs one, and we can see a screen of a female wearing nvgs on , so i hope it is both gender !

The game glitched, allowing me to wear the balaclava without the goggles during a heist and it looked incredibly awesome. Shame that it's not an option.
