My PS3 does not have enough space for the Heist Update!?!?

I have deleted every other game file and save data.

 

Apparently my PS3 does not have enough space for the GTA V intall data and the new update.

 

So now I can't play the game at all, not even single player.

Difficult one - if you have lots of messages then I suggest deleting all of them along with deleting all of the photos and videos that you have on the console, then you should probably delete the GTA data and retry it again

Are you using the lowest capacity PS3 hard drive by chance?

 

There was a post from R* awhile back that anyone with the lowest capacity PS3 hard drive might not be able to download/install game data

due to hard drive limitations.

Yes, unfortunately I do have the lowest capacity hardrive.

 

I just deleted the install data, and am downloading the update. After that I will try to re-install the game.

 

I'm wondering if I could use a flash drive to store some of the game data?

You could try or possibly try storing the game on a flash drive and launching using that but I'm not

sure if games can be launched from a separate drive.

And the thing is, I can't play the game at all without taking the download.

 

Not single-player, not anything.

Or just read the news every now and then... You can, indeed, play single player by cancelling the update. You'll be disconnected from PSN, tho, as far as I reckon.

You can buy an 120GB HDD and install it in your PS3 for around $30 or you can buy a 1TB for around $80 and installation is really easy.

 

Kinda funny my iPhone has more memory than a gaming console.
