Don't see many Insurgent Pickups here, but I assume the thread applies to both vehicles.

Is it correct that the pickup version also is customizable to the same extent as the cheaper version?

Is it impossible to kill someone by shooting through the windows, as the Police Riot, or is it just harder to kill someone?

If yes, are all windows bullet proof or just the front?

Considering buying it, but I just want to make sure it is worth it first

No the pickup is a Pegasus vehicle. It can't be customized or stored at all. Both versions have normal Windows that can be shot through although it's rather hard to be hit in it especially by NPCS. Basically Armored Kuruma = gunfire protection

Insurgent = explosive protection

Love it. I 100% armored it with charles and its beast. Takes way more than 4 sticky bombs to blow with 100%. Been using it to troll people with its near bulletproof back. Got ppl homing launcher and rpging me. Tonight took 3 stickies and 10 rpgs lol.

Black Terminator

Design:

The Insurgent is a Light Armored Personnel Vehicle that appears in two variants. The vehicle itself is mainly based on the GURKHA armored vehicles, characterized by the roof-rails, hood details, rounded headlights, roof hatch and front bumper, with some influences from the Conquest KnightXV, especially the single-door rear entrance and a small grille over the main one, where the hood is slightly pronounced. It is also based, to a lesser extent, on the Marauder, apparently for the raised suspension, the semi-squared door windows and a similar tail lights scheme, except that the ones found on this vehicle are squared.

Depending on the variants, the armed, open-bed one more closely resembles the GURKHA, while the unarmed, closed bed one is closer to the Conquest Knight.

It features multiple accessories, including a front roll cage, roof-mounted lights, SUV-like compartment and a roof-mounted cannon. It is able to carry passengers on the sides, as there are roof-rails over it, while the pick-up variant has the ability to carry 2 passengers on the truck bed.

I got one just now - Gonna be interesting road-testing this thing. A worthy replacement for my Dubsta 6x6, I think.

I decided to model it on the Marauder:

ten-a-penny

Can this thing off road just as great as the Dubsta?

I currently own one, alongside the Dubsta6x6 and SandKing. Originally I owned the Dubsta for ramming abilities and Sandking for bulletproof back trick. ow with the Insurgent I do not need the BP back of the SK and its high enough to jump over things at ease. BUT is it a truly good off road'er? Can it climb Mount Chilliad with no problem?

If yes, should I keep the others or sell them?

That painjob has oficially nerfed the Insurgent. One bullet from the SNS pistol and it will explode into oblivion.

Found this on YouTube. Insurgent Pick-Up holds 9 players:

....

if everyone shoots at even a 100% armored car it will blow up in 2 seconds same with helicopters

Pickup is jet meat. Last thing you want to do is to roll with more than 3 players inside. And it's pretty easy to spot without looking at the map, just pay attention to notifications. I'm always killing people in pickups who are terrorising lobby. Sometimes, repeatedly. This thing is jet magnet.

Ordinary Insurgent is amazing and I will never destroy it. Not only because of Insurance, but out of respect. It's rarely a griefing tool with that windows and the driver, probably, just want to be left alone.

Is the back bulletproof?

No, but the odds of bullets going though the back window are really low.

Apologies if it's been asked already but which heist/setup makes the Insurgent available in FR?

Ether the Humane labs Insurgent setup or the Humane labs finale, think it was the finale, as that's when most of the vehicles unlock.

Hmmm i might get the PV version if its not too slow

It isn't. It actually gets good air too. Love mine.

I was doing a mission earlier where you have to destroy box trucks. It was me and some guy in my insurgent. I was driving, trying to find creative short cuts to quickly get to these box trucks. On the last one I made a wrong turn and realized the target was on an over pass. So I drive quickly go up a ramp and to my horror into a deep canal. Completely submerged under water we come out onto a side and I race down it and smash through fencing and catch up.

And yesterday I was in free roam on a mountai. Trying to get pics of my insurgent. I noticed some one approaching so I pull out my sniper and put them in my sights but dont fire. Not sure if they were friendly or not. They were on a bike and fired a rocket at me. Got in the Insurgent and raced away through the mou tains jumping over peaks like a monster truck. Dodging heat seekers. My attacker starts runn8ng on his bike and I chase him through the mountains. Caught him and killed him.

I know this is just a bunch of rattling on, but I seriously enjoy this thing. After not playing gta online for so long this vehicle alone has resparked my interest in the game. It is just so fun to drive. I think everyone should have one.
