lost the ability to start heists

So I got to the part where you set up the first heists however rockstar decided to stick me in a session by myself and therefore I couldn't find anyone to invite. I switched server a few time but still was sent to a server by myself. Eventually I did some quick job heists (only setups though) until eventually I was I in a session with loads of people. However the icon in my apartment for starting thr first heist was gone and I have not recieved a call from Lester since. Have I lost the ability to lead a heist completely?

I doubt it, sometimes Lester does take a while to call back but others have had success just doing missions or doing heists on friend's/random's lobbies instead. Later on they do get access to it again.. worth a shot, remember that it's been a very busy day with the servers acting up.
