How does GTAF rate Heists so far?

  1. 1. I rate GTA Online's Heists a.....

    • 1 out of 5, it failed to live up to my expectations in every way.
    • 2 out of 5, it isn't the very worst, but it could be a lot better.
    • 3 out of 5, it isn't the best, but it's not the worst. It just leaves me with something to be desired.
    • 4 out of 5, it's pretty good but there's a few problems I have with it but they're negligible.
    • 5 out of 5, it's flawless in every way and was worth the wait.
    • It's too early for me to properly state a rating.

Still too early for me to tell because I haven't played any yet. Couldn't get anyone to join and couldn't join anyone so I'll probably wait a few days before I try again.

Strange Town

Too early for me to rate, but so far they've been golden.

Voted for the last one. I have been trying to get online since the update but with no luck.

Honestly, I've only done the first heist and some steps to the second, but it seems to be mostly driving so far. It was kind of boring apart from the finale of the first heist. I hope they all aren't like this.

I can't finish the second heist due to server issues right now though.

well what do you except in GRAND THEFT AUTO

I actually got on for about 20 minutes before I got kicked offline and the new items look great, but I haven't had a chance to do the actual missions.

i gave it 3 out of 5 because it's still pretty buggy after i downloaded the 1.07 gb dlc (360), it was still kinda hard to log into, and when i started my first heist it was annoying to find anyone who'll join and not leave a second later.

It's really not fair to give a lower rating just because of connection issues. The server problems have nothing to do with the heists themselves.

Impossible to give an accurate review. I'm sure they won't be for everyone but I really liked the first one. Once they fix the issues so we can play through a heist without losing the session between each set up mission.

Plus everyone who said "Quit complaining. Would you rather have buggy / glitchy heists or working heists" can now suck it... A year and a half, and they're still broken.

still can't do jack sh|t. took me about 10 minutes to find THREE people for the second heist preparation (probably cause they couldn't join/got disconnected or their system was loading forever like we all know it), then after three second in the clothing selection screen it says something like 'needs more players for this heist'

with this game three days after release and they need like 1 1/2 years to release those heists and then they don't even work? not enough time for them imbeciles? fuc ck that, gta online is dead to me, maybe I go back and play again in two months or something. but cockstar gaymes is just so fu cking lazy, I wouldn't be surprised if it still doesn't work then

Too early for me to tell.

I've done the first heist in both roles and almost completed the second one.

So far the payout's are great but it's a bit iffy at times. In all setup missions if ONE player dies completely (Out of lives) the entire mission fails.

Played the first heist today with my only crew member. We really enjoyed it. Will play it again tomorrow but roles reveresed.

Had no time out or drop offs.

5/5 so far.

After what would be at least 8 years of school you think you could use grammar, would be able articulate your thoughts without swear words but no you can't so you can't eactly be pissed with rockstar when you can't do something that you should of learnt how to do in 3 years of school.

This makes no sense at all. Then logically, you can't be pissed at him for being pissed at Rockstar, because you can't spell at all.

A simple question for everyone. Now that Heists are out, how do you as members of the community feel about the long awaited Heists? Feel free to leave a full review or just a short comment explaining how you feel. This thread is mostly to probe the general consensus of where Heists sits with everyone.

It would be a 6 out of 5 if not for the bugs I mean EVERYONE got something though for me the option to change ANYWHERE is a highlight for me.

I got up to the point where I'd completed both the "Prison Break" and also, the "Humane Labs Raid" Heists. And oh lord, I wasn't expecting what I'd seen or at all. I'd seen some sh*t in the trailers and heard descriptions by IGN, and the guys at GTA5 o'clock, but you need to actually play the missions to understand how bad ass these missions are.

From missions that tasks you with stealing a heavily armoured Tuner being guarded by crazed Triads, to breaking Walter White's Russian doppelgänger out of prison, to then infiltrating a hulking Navy vessel filled with high tech aircraft and then using them in a fast paced dogfight laden with explosions whilst Kenny Loggins' Danger Zone serves as a backing track, every mission feels as good and consistent as the last no matter what role you're in.

I honestly feel that Rockstar has made this Update worth the wait and so much more, and I feel bad that they're not even asking for a penny out of me, it's insulting. With a wide range of setups and finales with varying tasks to keep your jaw levelled with your knees that's had me and my crew saying "OMG THAT'S SO SICK" and the likes every time, the Heists get a 5 out of 5 from me. I can't wait to get into the final two Heists.

The only issue I have is that I completed the Prison Break heist with some friends earlier today, and then Lester calls me around ten minutes afterwards and informs me that there's a new heist available in my high-end apartment. I go and check what heist it is, and it's the Prison Break one, which I had just completed. Does this mean I have to do it again in order to unlock further ones?

  1. Too much waiting around (we already do too much of this up in the clouds and during loading screens)
  2. Cut scenes with no 'skip' option
  3. Instant fails due to trolls & disconnections
  4. Paying to host your own heist

But all in all this was a very good update. Lots of new activities in free mode to keep you busy and plenty of new vehicles/clothing to purchase.

My understanding (I could be wrong) is that in order to progress to the next heist YOU have to host the previous one.

4/5 for me. I've only done the Fleeca Bank mission so far but what a joy it was. Loved how your introduced to it by Lester with the cutscenes etc... I think R* have really done a good job here and believe me, I've given em' a right load of stick on these forums but I have to hold my hands up & give credit where it's due.

If it wasn't for the server issue's I'd have given a 5 but let's face it, we were all well aware that there would be problems from the off so no point ranting & raving about it. just give it time and we'll all have the heist's done and be in the speculation thread again wondering what the next update will be. I for one am well pleased with this update and will milk it for all it's worth once the servers are fixed of course : ).

1. Things such as Raids and Robberies do actually require concentration, patience and calm. They're not gonna all be "gung ho" every single second.

2. Would you rather watch the custscene and be fully informed of what you have to do, or skip it like an ignoramus and do the missions without a clue and most likely fail?

3. Don't play with randoms, and before you play a Heist, have you and the rest of our crew get together in an Invite Only lobby.

4. How else do you expect to get all the needed equipment? It's not going to form out of thin air.

For an update that has been heralded since before GTA V even released, I can't rate it higher than a 6.5/10. Yes heist are enjoyable, yes they come with an abundance of (much needed) new content, yes they add something new, but gameplay wise they're far too straight forward. They really just feel like big missions with some mini games slammed between and a higher payout, and there's nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't knock me off my feet either. What I was hoping to see was some complexity, some opportunity to show initiative, instead it's all very linear and your hand is held throughout. But hey it's free, so I can't complain.

Just my two cents, your milage may vary.

So long as the servers work properly, they are the best thing GTAO has had in a long time. They are a perfect example of how to do proper coop missions.

I agree with this but not as critically. Heists are very pleasing. So no "you people are never satisfied" comments. It would just be nice to be able to pick how we deal with the heist. Even though there are different roles to play for each heist it would just be nice to think for ourselves a bit and execute the missions the way we saw fit.

But at the same time - there's a lot of idiots who play this game and heists have to be moron friendly. So Rockstar done a beautiful job of making them fun and complex, but still give players who don't play a lot, or aren't very skilled a good experience.

As usual I have problems that extend beyond the heist, like server issues... But the heist are nice, it is a fresh twist on gta, and the clothes are awesome
