[PS3] Can't download Heists update? 80710723

First of all, I'm on PS3, my router isn't very far away, It is just about 2-3m away from the PS3, no walls blocking the connection.

 

Today the Heists got released. I was really pumped for this update, I got home, turned on the PS3, boom!

A 1.3 GB update! Just as the installation starts, I get an error message (80710723). I've tried every solution Sony has to offer, but nothing worked, and It's the 5th time I'm trying to download this, but I still get the same error. I've also heard Online is down.

 

Does anyone have this and/or a solution? I need help with this, please.

Online is down so that's most probably the cause my friend. Been down for hours now

Had the same problem, took around 3 hours to finally get it to download fully. Other than patience all I can suggest is to turn off your modem for 3 or so minutes then turn back on and try again, worked for me after 2 more tries, all the best

online is not down, instable yes, but down is not.

Got the error at 98% downloaded TWICE. Each time being 2hrs and I'm trying a third time. The error is apparently a DNS cockup (DNS has not been altered). If the 3rd effort fails I'm leaving things until the weekend and if it cocks up again It'll be after OZ (4weeks).
