Many people were shouting how IV was a downgrade from SA, because it had so much more content. And of course they need SP to sell well, they can't depend on Shark Cards alone..... My take on all this is that nobody really asked for this sorta "Freemium MMO" thing going on. I play lots of multiplayer because I enjoy playing with friends, but I also like to have a solid single-player experience to go back to when I don't feel like messing with trolls and f*ckboys. I'm sure people would have been content with an upgraded version of GTA IV/Red Dead's multiplayer with things like the Creator and a deeper dedicated co-op mode like Heists. Just give players the open-world sandbox and give us the freedom to do and make what we want. All the extra "buy your stuff and rise to power" stuff is really unnecessary, and all it really did was restrict everything for the players on top of being almost an immediate failure due to glitchers and hackers. A less ambitious multiplayer aspect would give them the room to develop content for both MP and SP equally, but this over-complicated Online (which arguably is more complex than the SP) causes them to divert all their attention to it and figure out how to develop SP in the meantime. Rockstar isn't going to buy/build a new server room just because everyone and their mom wants to play on heist day. Be patient and wait for the server populations to stabilize. This whole experience with the Heists affecting the SP has been a complete buzz kill for me. I hope they improve in the future. After all the delays, they still release this pile of dog sh*t. What happened to "we want to take time to ensure the best quality possible" something tells me that this bullsh*t we have here IS the best rockstar can do anymore. I expect the PC version to just as terrible if not worse. Maybe it's time to throw in the towel Rockstar. There are much better qualified developers out there these days. You'll still download the updates and play the game. I don't really why you made this comment. I'm pretty sure that the point of this thread was to highlight the many flaws of the V Online Heists DLC and express the view that's not what it was hyped up to be - NOT to state an intention to boycott the DLC and not play it in protest against Rockstar. This what happens when people read too much into things, they always end up talking bullsh*t that don't make sense. On topic, I never was hyped for these heists anyway. As I've said many times before, I was never into online mode in GTA, and heists is certainly not gonna change that. Things like characters changing skin color, while annoying, isn't game breaking. So they're not gonna put it high on the priority list. This is common in game development. You can bet that as soon as heists were good to go and ready to be released, they started working on the fixes. The major bugs, like SP losing vehicles and sh*t, probably weren't seen. They're known now, and I'm sure they just got to the top of the priority list. Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if they didn't even test the effect it had on SP. This isn't just an update for a few cars, clothes, and missions. This is major. Gotta have all the testers testing each and every moment and each and every possibility and each and every inch of everything having to do with the new heists. Don't forget we are talking about consoles with fixed hardware and specs rather than PC where I can understand that the process of testing may be difficult for them to notice all the bugs before launch. At least, they should have acknowledged it, there is a big list of different bugs and glitches. I have friends of course, but I never play online with them because I don't want to, it don't excite or interest me one bit.
