slvrcobra Posted March 10, 2015 Share Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) With the amount of times Rockstar delayed the Heist Update, I can't fathom how it came out in this state. It's not so much the fact that it has issues, but it just befuddles me how they have released updates several times by now and were getting better at doing so without breaking the game. The other updates have still been flawed, of course, but the worst they did was re-introduce old bugs or create new minor ones, however Heist problems seem to have nearly undone the game's progress back to GTA Online Launch levels of bad. Vehicles removed and immune to visual damage as well as characters reset in SP, black characters becoming white (an issue I hope is reversible. Soon), female characters becoming transvestites, etc. I expected server issues and wasn't really anticipating Heists much anyway, but I was just wondering how this update could have come out so broken after so long and after how much better they were getting. Any thoughts? **UPDATE** - As of now, GTA Online on Xbox 360 appears to be in working order. There is still the occassional hiccup in connecting to games, but it generally works. I have encountered the customization reset and audio glitches. Funny how they got right on to fixing Online yet SP gets neglected yet again. I just can't help but smile when I think that after thread after thread after thread talking about f*cking heists, people recruiting for gangs.... all the hype and excitement... that it turns out like this. I seem to have been the only one who wasn't wetting themselves over the relase of heists, and now I can sit back and smile the smile of someone who can truly say, "I told you so." I love what R* has done for the gta series, including v, but in this case it does make you wonder how this is possible. Surely this many bugs couldn't have snuck past basic testing. I thought I was the only person who didn't have a single ounce of excitement for this heists bullsh*t. I knew it was going to be a giant failure, just like everything that has come from rockstar since the release of this game. I just don't understand how people could hype this so much after all the multiple letdowns and bullsh*t from rockstar the past couple of years. I'm glad it has blown up in their faces and all that's left is a broken game and heists that no one can even access anyways. GOOD JOB ROCKSTAR, YOU MADE A MOCKERY OF YOURSELF YET AGAIN. After all the delays, they still release this pile of dog sh*t. What happened to "we want to take time to ensure the best quality possible" something tells me that this bullsh*t we have here IS the best rockstar can do anymore. I expect the PC version to just as terrible if not worse. Maybe it's time to throw in the towel Rockstar. There are much better qualified developers out there these days. The worst part of all this is that us single player people are now forced to play this broken polished turd. Yay for heist! The update was downloaded automatically on ps4 and no I won't be playing the game because it's pretty much broken and unplayable at this point. Even the audio has started to glitch out. They've had almost 2 years two make this and they still put out this nonsense. Even Ubisoft would be laughing at this right now. It was a mistake that Rockstar though would be ok. It's just that people were demanding Heists too much that they had to rush the rest of the update. As the load increased through the day...servers crashed.... as simple as that... Bugs and issues are a different thing...that's laziness and carelessness.. My LAN cable will be going nowhere near the back of my PS4 until things get sorted. Will I still play the game? Of course I will, because I haven't downloaded the DLC, so my version isn't broken. BrotherRogue Posted March 11, 2015 Share Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) I wonder how many people took a day or two off to play, lucky or not so lucky in this case i work shifts and my day off landed today ^_^ it was working fine in the morning did the fleeca heist all set ups with the same team, the problems started when you needed 4 players. Granted a lot of this can be solved by finding a solid 4 man team that is always online at anytime of the day, not always possible, so to counter act this i joined the IGN crew which has iirc 1.4 million members, still it takes an age for everyone to join, and if anyone leaves or has connection problems its heist over, back to loading screens I did manage to run a couple of times to do the finale of prison break, which we failed a few times, there is already a flaw in the mission which i instantly thought of a different senario for, wont spoil it for those who have not tried. Lay off the devs btw, its not their fault, its simply the servers overloading with players, millions upon millions of connections, issue will happen with any server with this amount of load Btw dont care for SP, completed the story that was that, online is where the action is, btw Edited March 11, 2015 by BrotherRogue Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I haven't been on since about 6AM EST. I can only vouch for the "black character turning white" bug, but I was able to connect to the servers after a couple of tries and had no further issues until nearly started the first Heist, at which point it cut to black and froze my Xbox.
