Heist Machine Gun Vehicles not available in Garage?

Recommended Posts

I was really happy to wake up and find that the GTA Online Heists were live, but something about it really bothered me, one of the things that I was hoping would be included the most...

The fact that the two new ground vehicles that featured on-board machine guns cannot be stored in your garage or customised upset me, because I was looking forward to owning my own custom Insurgent with its epic machine-gun, going around and doing what I do, but all I can do with it now is call it from Pegasus and get it in a horrible green... It's really disappointing to see, as the car has potential, and is really fun to use, but Rockstar have once again not allowed us, the players, to fully utilise a really cool vehicle. Additionally, before anyone says "Maybe it would be too overpowered", have you tried the new Savage helicopter? It has a cannon for a machine gun, and can continuously fire rockets from it's four rocket pods. Furthermore, wouldn't it be even more OP if it can be called at virtually any point, at no cost to the player after it has been purchased? Rockstar really need to consider changing this, because I, along with a lot of other people, think its pathetic that we can't save the better version of the insurgent, whist we can customise and save the covered version, in our garages. But of course, you're all entitled to your opinions on this, and post your thoughts in the comments, but if you think the same as me, do like the stunting community did, and flood the Heist comments section with something like "Let us save the Insurgent Pick-Up and Technical in our garages", like a lot of others, and we may be able to get our message through to them. Thanks for reading!

According to a bunch of youtube videos; they are storable\customizable. Though I'm skeptical of whether or not they should be. Having a "trollmobile" that you can INSURE sounds like R* either has plans to change how insurance works, expects us to start indescriminantly destroy eachothers personal vehicles (because if I'm willing to just blow up your Karuma to get rid of you for a while; why not just blow up your anything else. Heists pay pretty well.) or doesn't understand what this is going to do to freeroam... Even worse it seems; what this is going to do to vanilla missions. Roll up in your Armored Karuma or Insurgent and hold down the fire button? These cars hit like a semi at high speed too. They seem to knock everything off the road and just keep going.

I've even seen a video of someone playing with the Hydra (in the creator, but still) and it missle locks on players on foot?? This might be a bug and will probably be fixed (at least I hope so).

It just seems like powercreep was pushed up against the wall and R* picked "option 3"... and then killed it and took their money back...

Making the "Armored" vehicles deliverable IS balanced atleast for the fact that I can blast a troll with an RPG without having to pay their insurance premium and people cant just pop into a well paying vanilla mission in a "sports tank" and insta-win. Still waiting to see a video of how hard it is to kill someone in a Karuma or Insurgent without blowing them up.

Dont get me wrong; everything they added is cool but I'm really confused on how they thought these were balanced. Especially since they spent so much time "polishing" them.

Only the unarmed version of the Insurgent can be saved in the garage, but I agree with you on the whole balancing point, and the fact that they aren't really that OP, and they could just remove you having to pay for the insurance for the Insurgent Pick-up and Technical anyway, I just really want such a badass vehicle in my garage, I have the Kuruma and I'm planning on getting the unarmed Insurgent for my garage, but it would be nice to own the Pikc-up edition in my garage.
