Guest
Yes, you heard me right Jeremy Clarkson has now been sacked by BBC, So what are your thoughts on this? "Jeremy Clarkson's contract will not be renewed after an "unprovoked physical attack" on a Top Gear producer, the BBC's director general has confirmed. Tony Hall said he had "not taken this decision lightly" and recognised it would "divide opinion". However, he added "a line has been crossed" and he "cannot condone what has happened on this occasion". Clarkson was suspended on 10 March, following what was called a "fracas" with Top Gear producer Oisin Tymon. The row, which took place in a Yorkshire hotel, was said to have occurred because no hot food was provided following a day's filming. There cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another dictated by either rank, or public relations and commercial considerations Lord Hall, BBC director general An internal investigation began last week, led by Ken MacQuarrie, the director of BBC Scotland. It found that Mr Tymon took himself to hospital after he was subject to an "unprovoked physical and verbal attack"." -To read the full article Click Here>> Edited March 25, 2015 by Guest
paperbagdude
I'll be really pissed if he gets fired for real. He's like the entire essence of Top Gear UK. Flachbau, ddyoung, ten-a-penny and 2 others
mr quick
Really? I thought this was a milestone at first. If they boot Clarkson, it's the end of Top Gear. No ifs or buts, that's just how it is. mr quick
Though his antics can be childish frequently, a lot of the time at times, he's integral to the show. Memes and Fraizer
Fraizer
I love his in your face attitude. He says a lot of sh*t about Americans but it's humor. He's funny, witty, raunchy and apparently too much for some and I love it. If the suspension ends up being indefinite and his time with BBC is up, he went out with a bang and that's cool. Maybe someone in the US can shovel some money to him and get him another program. whats_a_username?
dante財閥
I'll be f*cking surprised if he actually stays suspended - he's f*cked up so much in the past with his bullsh*t antics and they've never let him go. Would love to see him finally lose his job for some bullsh*t tbh. I don't wish redundancy on many people but I'd be fine with him never being on TV again, or in newspapers. OysterBarron
Tbh since his contract renewal this series has had some really cringe worthy parts in it. The french peugot section the other week i took real offence to and found the skit very distasteful and im not even french. He thinks he's untouchable now and I think hopefully this will be a wake up call for him to get back in line there's a certain line you shouldn't cross and he has been on the borderline for months now. Ottae
I've always taken Clarkson with a pinch of salt, as everyone should. He makes jokes which are "offensive" (but are not really offensive). There's a large amount of people that feel invited to be offended by everything, who gives a sh*t if you're offended? Don't watch him. His "racism" wasn't racism. Racism means that he believes other races are inferior, which is just plain wrong when you look at all the places he's been and all the cultures he's openly enjoyed. There's people at the BBC which have been after Clarkson for years. Here's a very good article on the matter: I read that Jeremy Clarkson had been suspended by the BBC for ‘a fracas’ with a producer. We don’t know what happened yet – but that hasn’t stopped my phone ringing with requests for interviews from Channel Four News (natch) and, yes, the BBC – the producers beside themselves with glee. And already one witless columnist – the staggeringly hopeless Deborah Orr in the Guardian, who nobody has ever read voluntarily – demanding Clarkson resign. Before this imbecilic woman knows even the slightest about what has taken place. Strike one up for the usual ‘liberal’ fascism. What’s he done? Dunno – but sack the bastard anyway. Evil, stupid, people. I don’t know Clarkson – I met him once, when I interviewed him. He was very likeable. I don’t often watch his show, because I don’t watch much TV. But this is incontestable – Top Gear is extraordinarily successful. Perhaps the most successful programme the BBC has produced in the last twenty years. A humungous, astonishing, success. And part of that is down to the fact that Clarkson is a very good presenter indeed; the best – alongside Attenborough and Humphrys – that the BBC has come up with in fifty years. And part of it is down to the fact that he doesn’t toe the usual PC line, demanded by shrill idiots like Orr – and indeed most of the rest of the BBC and Channel Four News. I don’t know what happened this time around. But I had the suspicion that they would get him, one of these days. http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/2015/03/i-suspected-the-liberal-fascists-would-eventually-get-clarkson AZAZEL, GTA_stu, RedDagger and 4 others
