haha you people crack me up. show me other games with this large a load hitting it at once that dont have issues. gimme a break . And this bout the dumbest quote i think ive seen "they should rent from EA" . Haha, i play madden and can tell u straight up, EA servers arent good .... smh

 

CoD gets this every year dude and they're never down like this.

 

edit: It should be known i f*cking hate cod and all cod noobs, but I envy their servers.

I went through the painful release of GTA online without complaining and I even defended rockstar in many occasions but this is just a joke. To the people saying 'it's just the amount of people all trying to get on at once' I understand that, but is that acceptable business? Like the meeting went like this - 'When heists is released you know it won't work because too many people are online at once what should we do' 'It's ok, if we just wait again like last time some people will f*ck off and it should be ok' Broken is one thing, but not even being able to load online is another. Rockstar need to pull their finger out. c*nts

I was able to play all last night but now I just tried to get online and was able except I couldn't get into missions/heist. Oh and the sound kept dropping and my music in-game kept skipping.

Ever played sniper elite 3? Worst servers I have experienced. Its like launch day 24/7 when like a total of 1k people actually play the game.

 

Rockstar even said that launch would most likely be rough. AGAIN. They f*cking warn you and then you come and bitch here like they didnt tell us.

 

Its frustrating yes, I spent 2 hours yesterday trying to get my group in the same lobby before giving up. But get over it. It happens.

to be honest, at the moment everything is proccesing slow with the crew im in now

not because the heist itself is hard, more because its hard to stay connected

If you don't see these issues coming by this point, you should smack yourself upside the head for being so stupid. Big game launches and big DLC drops result in server problems all the time. GTA:O launched with server problems, then had another round when current gen versions came out. At this point, I'm kind of chuckling that I got bad sported until Thursday. Probably gonna be hard to get a heist to work properly until then anyway.

If you ever bought a Shark card, and I have, we should get priority download servers and shark card only first week DLC R* server access. Would be crowded, but not nearly as bad as fighting with EVERY GTAV owner on your console.

Not by a f*cking long-shot. Sure, R*s cloud servers can be finicky and annoying as balls sometimes, but at least I can play online.

Fewer things more annoying than fanboys being overly defensive. The fact is that this isn't the first time this has happened, Rockstar should have better prepared for the release. I really don't believe for a second that crashing the servers is an unavoidable inevitability.

I think many people are missing the point...

The game was overloaded in October 2013. The game became overloaded (a bit) again with the releases on Next-Gen consoles. It's been hectic today getting online - not even to do missions, just to get into freefroam. And finally, with the PC release coming in a few weeks, it's possible the game/ servers/ whatever will be overloaded, again.

The point is - how can we stand and allow this to be acceptable? Surely you buy more servers, upgrade their hardware, keep the software updated, buy more servers and so on. People are still experiencing unknown connection issues - I'm one of them - and yet we're more than 20 updates in. Surely they must be known connection issues by now - and if so - where's the error code + solution?

My post is best suited for the Bitch and Moan thread, but honestly I'm surprised things are so bad. Apparently, in 8 years we'll be starting to send people on a one-way ticket to Mars, so how something like this can't be avoided I don't know.

Im playing online right now! Just got a full lobby and its loading the match, 4 vs 4 with all players under level 40. Should be an interesting battle here, I'm using the assault rifle which I normally dont do but its been a while and its a pretty good gun for close confrontations. It sure is good to own and play games other than GTA when the Rockstar servers aren't working, this supply raid at Bill's Town on The Last of Us sure beats staring at ALERT for hours on end.
