Can I unlock the Hydra and Savage if I don't host heists?

I've finished the first two heists, but not as host. (Unstable internet connection.) It just struck me that I might not be able to unlock certain vehicles if I don't start over and play as host from the beginning? Is that how it works?

No, you'll gain access to purchase the vehicles in question as longs as you participate in the Heist that unlocks it, you don't have to be host.

The first heist which is actually some sort of tutorial unlocks casco and the second (prison break) unlocks both kuruma versions and 5-seater velum.

 

Bet i'll never have hydra, damn hard to setup a good team which is competent and not trying to play 2 hour mission on 20 minutes. I guess it should have a serious cash penalty to who quits the job, like paying double the setup costs to the leader and losing all the money earned from preparation jobs.

i recently bought my PS4, i have a question about new vehicles.
Back in my PS3 whenever a new patch arrived i had all teh vehicles available in story mode inside the garajes and hangars. How can i check vechicles in offline mode now on PS4? i tried to check on the new stuff but all garajes are empty! (i did not finished story mode yet)

The first heist unlocks kuruma and u use it in the mission itself.

The Karuma is unlocked after the first heist. I haven't done prison bus and I have both.

I've unlocked the Hydra now, but not the Savage. Does anyone know how to unlock the Savage, and how much it costs? I've googled, but came back empty-handed.

You don't have to host a heist in order to unlock things.
