Can anyway explain quite how this works?

 

The leader pays upfront costs i know.

 

But does everyone get money per mission then a bigger one for the main heist?

 

or do the other players get payouts but the leader only gets paid after the end heist?

Yes, the heist leader pays the money upfront and doesn't get his/her cut until the Heists Finale.

so the finale mission is worth like $500k split between players but the other players get extra money for the preceeding missions? doesnt that mean that for equal profits, the leader should take most of the finale payout?

• The Heist leader has the responsibility of fronting the setup costs to acquire whatever equipment and additional NPC personnel needed to pull off the job – which amounts to a percentage of the final pay-out.

 

Members earn money for completing each setup mission.

 

Heist leaders do not earn any money for completing a setup mission, though they do earn 10% more RP than other members. Leaders can assign themselves a larger portion of the take once the entire Heist is complete.

If you want to make it quite fair,

just do a bit of maths so you all recieve the same amount of money.

E.g

Heist Set Up Costs=$100000

Heist Potential Awards=$600,000

So,

If you want to make money back as Heist Leader while making sure everyone recieves the same amount of money..

600,000-100,000

=$500,000

So you made your money back.

Then, 500,000 Divided by 4

=125,000

So, Each member receives 125,000 aside from the leader, which receives 225,000(To compensate for the Heist Set Up Costs).

The game already portions out your cut as leader factoring in your costs. You decide if you want a larger or smaller cut of the take.
