yeah rockstar knew it owuld be a server overload AAAALLLLLL day but yet they didnt nothing to help that out. at this point i dont even want to do heists i just want the cars and guns. rockstar, you reeeeallllyy dropped the ball on gta online, ive never seen such stupidity in any aspect of life.

I'm sorry for those who still expect good things from Rockstar. I've been playing games developed by these guys since the 90s and have discovered very early on that they are very good a creating a hype, then screwing the game up completely.

 

Rockstar does not do much research when developing games like they should, nor do they take anyone's complaints or opinions seriously.

I miraculously somehow got on after one retry but of course I can't get any friends to join. While I'll admit that I saw this coming, it's still so infuriating when you can't use said product because the owners once again were not prepared...

Are you seriously thinking ,you ,a single human on a forum: " they should have prepared" ,but a maaaaassive company like R* ,with whole departments handling support of players and online didn't?Seriously,i'm sure 100% of people saying "they haven't prepared" ,placed in the position to "prepare" the servers ,wouldn't do any better (even if they had the knowledge).It's not as simple as "buy more servers".R* have to set up servers at different points of the globe,operated and supported by other companies ,and it isn't as simple as most people think.Most people probably imagine a huge hall or a building somewhere and its full of servers...but like i said,it doesn't always work like that.

A lot of people are saying "R* didn't prepare" or "they should have prepared better" ...that is genius!!! I bet no one at RockstarGames thought of that!...preparing for the massive amount of people what would flood the servers with the release of heists. Do people seriously think that hasn't crossed R* "mind" probably a year ago already...geez.

They must have had a huge surge of ppl logging on after 11:00am CST. I was able to download, and install the update fine early this morning, and played around a bit in invite only to do my daily objectives. Didn't have any problems. Now I can't even get on the Rockstar Support forum page.

Downloaded it no problem at 5am cst played awhile then had to go to fukx gd office. Can hardly wait get home now reading this.

So pissed that the servers decided to go to sh*t the exact moment my partner for the heist got his patch finished downloading. Meanwhile, our other friends completed the first heist not more than twenty minutes ago with no problems.

 

Jesus christ Rockstar, you KNEW this would happen. This lack of preparation is unnacceptable after 500 days of keeping players waiting.

I waited 11 hours for the heist dlc to download. I got online, played a few minutes of the first heist and boom - everything crashed.

Frankly I idk if care that much about the heists because what spend money on? I am lone wolf just nick cars n stuff / hunt griefers. Have 2mill since no 4th property to buy don't c what big deal is. Played some this morn and excited 10 k car now goes for 34k but had to go to fukg Gd work. I do like group stuff like survival modes and the heists on gta5 but need c how works GTA online.

 

I wb pissed if get home and can't get on.

Mines says "files required to play gta online could not be downloaded....." sucks that it took 40mins to get online to start a heists and get kicked out after stealing the kuruma.

No worries, Rockstar gave up. They're moving the new online heists to story mode to handle the traffic. Happy Heists!

Some of you guys are really dumb and know nothing about servers and networking.

 

Say the pope is riding around in his popemobile. That thing is bulletproof, right? Its made it handle bullets. However, imagine one day he's out and about when suddenly squads from every military force from around the world show up and start shooting the popemobile and within a few seconds the windows shatter and boom, dead pope. You really going to bitch at the company that made the popemobile? You going to insult them and blame them for the pope's death? No, that would be idiotic.
