Guess it depends what part of the world you are at. Here in north western europe i get "rockstar services unavailable right now try again later".

 

Im a fool for resetting my router and console, ofcourse that did not change anything. Hoping i can get onlline soon. Untill then i be playing story mode.

Align your console with the moon works like a charm just remember to keep adjusting the angle of your console every few mins to keep up with the movements of the heavenly body, I have no idea how this works.

I'm in a session with 2 friends. They're getting calls from all of the contacts etc yet I have this message constantly in the corner of my screen. I'm unable to buy or sell any vehicles or join or host any contact missions at all. Nothing

 

I bought some chrome rims though. That was fun.

I have no issue waiting a few days for them to fix it. I sure miss the old days when you bought a game, beat it and bought a new one. You threw down some cash on a game and knew dam well it would collect dust within a few months. Seems like the video game community these days feels a sense of entitlement. Cheers to those who arent complaining like bitches.

Flawless logic there. How dare we expect the game to work as advertised.

 

Its not about daring to expect it to work, its about having the basic knowledge that this happens with most of R* updates. You new at video games bro?

This doesn't happen with most of Rockstar updates. The problem right now is Xbox servers are down.

I'm in Pennsylvania and been trying even solo session and still can't get online. Everybody coming home from school and work are trying to get on too.

I got on long enough to walk three feet and see my Adder, it was magical. Heists are the best thanks R*. Maybe soon I'll even see my apartment.

Free Mode is working for me on Xbox One (UK) at the moment, but whenever I try and join heist missions we now get as far as the cutscene and it fails and sends you either back to single player or back to free mode.

 

Heists were working fine for us all day as well, we was saying how good it was performing etc.

We just got a decent team of 4 to finish the 2nd heist and these issues start happening.

Managed to do the first heist (Fleeca bank) around 3pm and then tried to join as well as host Prison break - got to the cut scene and people starting to join then kicked out or unable to join the session. Had another look just now and played story for a while but simply cannot get on. Will try again tomorrow but cannot see me playing much until the weekend. I even stupidly reset router but of course it wasn't that as my broadband is working fine

I just had my wife fire up my ps4 to start the download but I guess I had it set to auto and it was already installed.

 

Needless to say she got into online with no issues. Im just posting so people know I was either lucky, or the problem is getting resolved.

I swear R* has the worst servers of all mankind. I just want to try the heists and new cars but god forbid you to connect online. I look at my friends list and see all of my other friends playing GTA:O just fine. This is such BS

I miraculously somehow got on after one retry but of course I can't get any friends to join. While I'll admit that I saw this coming, it's still so infuriating when you can't use said product because the owners once again were not prepared...

I had 14 friends on line a few minutes ago - 12 of us unable to connect and 2 playing freely doing heists

love it when you finally join after an hour of the same error message, finish the first set up mission and about to start The Fleeca Job and then you're immediately sent back into single player

I'm in free mode on Xbox One but i'm unable to host/join any jobs. Everything is super laggy too; teleporting, floating cars, NPCs going 1000mph.

I'm still in a Gta Online session but everybody just left, servers might have gone down again. Gonna test out my new Kuruma in the meantime :)

I love how people join my heist lobby, and then the game kicks them out. COME ON. All of this waiting should have been put towards stupid server stability.
