A word to the wise. If you're having issues go into invite only and wait until you get an invite. Works like a charm for me.

I have no issue waiting a few days for them to fix it. I sure miss the old days when you bought a game, beat it and bought a new one. You threw down some cash on a game and knew dam well it would collect dust within a few months. Seems like the video game community these days feels a sense of entitlement. For whom it may concern:

 

For those actually able to join maps/lobbies and are unable to launch a heist try starting an invite only session. Once this has started invite your friends that you wish to play with to the same lobby. Then invite your friends into your appartment.

Now when everyone's in get all your friends to enter the planning room. Only when everyone is in the room launch the heist from the planning board.

There seems to be a problem with the invite system (atleast from my end) and by doing this you are skipping this process as the people in the room get automatically dragged into the lobby.

 

If some friends are able to join using this method and others can't leave the lobby. Then get all players to leave the room for two mins. Then everyone needs to re enter and follow the process again until everyone's in.

Have rockstar made a statement on this yet?

Their Twitter support is them just linking everyone to their status page which says everything is up and running and that it's our NATs problem

 

Hahahaha NAT hahahahaha, who are they kidding....? I can't even get into a solo session. I can understand the servers being overloaded but keep giving us those NAT excuses is a load of old tosh. Same thing happened with the crew, opened my ports, still had problems. Anyway patience will prevail...

It's been ten years since I played in multiplayer and I have never seen such unstable servers in my life...

Believe it there have been unstable servers way, way worse than this. Example being Metal Gear Online.

Its not about daring to expect it to work, its about having the basic knowledge that this happens with most of R* updates. You new at video games bro?

Nah the problem is everyone's tryna get on. It's not that heists don't work it's the strain on the servers BECAUSE of heists. Honestly saw this coming but still annoying as hell.

Guess it depends what part of the world you are at. Here in north western europe i get "rockstar services unavailable right now try again later".

 

Im a fool for resetting my router and console, ofcourse that did not change anything. Hoping i can get onlline soon. Untill then i be playing story mode.

TODAY GTAO RAN FLAWLESSLY. FLAW LESS IS THE WORD. ONLY EMMA WATSON COULD COMPETE WITH THAT KIND OF FLAWLESSNESS. But no seriously, I had one of the best play times today. I think R* deserves our love now.

Or maybe I didn't have any trouble because I joined free aim lobbies? I play 4 heists ( and related missions) today, one or two prompted me to change my targeting setting or some crap. Maybe that could help, or I could be just lucky..
