Urge just got back from work play the first tutorial bit the random guy in with leaves and then I found someone decent with a mic and it all messes up! When they are back up and running anyone who's looking for someone to play some missions or heists with add me on ps4 coleman92123, please no one who leaves half way through missions or isn't going to give fair cuts please.

You guys need to chill. How did you not expect this? The servers suck on a normal day. I would've been surprised if their weren't server issues.

Booked a day of work, gave the wife a couple hundred bucks to get lost and go shopping, and now this. FML.

You booked a day off work to play video games. I think you are getting exactly what you deserve.

 

Don't be an idiot, people use time off for all sorts of stuff. I work like a dog and rarely have time to do anything but more work. Sometimes the only way to have a day of fun is to schedule it off. Maybe if you worked like I do you would see that it is more f*cked up that someone needs to take a day off to enjoy a hobby, and be less of a judgmental ass.

 

 

I have booked a week off to play Arkham Knight, would have picked a random summer week off anyway, but this is perfect.

It sounds to me like you have a pretty terrible job actually, or at least a terrible employer. If you have an allotted number of vacation days, why does the request mechanism even have a demand that you tell them what you are doing with your personal time?

I don't get the Rockstar services error as much as the "The Lobby you are trying to join is full" message but there is only 2 people in (the prison break heist). Or when everyone has joined, try to launch and it kicks the host/heist leader and everyone else is backed out.

I am a feels type of guy so here is what I'm working with. On vacation from school and work. I was online with my 360 until 4AM with hopes of seeing heists. Saw on here that they would not release until 6 AM. Went to bed, when I just tried to connect I received the, "Files required to play GTA online could not be downloaded from the Rockstar Game Service". With this being said...

To the people saying "how didn't Rockstar expect so many people to join,so that they can prepare the servers?" - they did,that's like one of the first things they need to settle upon and make it work.It's not like they've remembered in the last moment "Oh crapp,we need more servers!!!".They have whole departments working on the online feature of the game,to think they haven't thought it trough is just idiotic.Stuff like overloads is normal ,and anyone who doesn't expect it with a game of these massive proportions simply doesn't know how those things work.

Have rockstar made a statement on this yet?

Their Twitter support is them just linking everyone to their status page which says everything is up and running and that it's our NATs problem

I was online at 5AM EDT and played a few heists to completion (Prison break first, Fleesa job 2nd) with some Brits who were up late. Logged off for lunch just before the server issues started apparently.

 

Status from R* support page @ 2:45pm EDT:

"Investigating reports about Rockstar Cloud Services error messages. Apologies for any inconvenience."

I'm pretty sure all issues with lots of traffic work like this.

You either buy more servers, not knowing how much you'll need and then lose money because you won't have that much traffic later. Or you make a safe estimate and weather the storm of the initial flood of traffic. There really isn't much you can do with huge amounts of connections at once like this and nobody's to blame, just wait a little while like we have been.

I have no issue waiting a few days for them to fix it. I sure miss the old days when you bought a game, beat it and bought a new one. You threw down some cash on a game and knew dam well it would collect dust within a few months. Seems like the video game community these days feels a sense of entitlement. Cheers to those who arent complaining like bitches.

The fact that a bunch of my buddies are all online playing just fine is what's really pissing me off. They're sending me invites but all I'm getting is Rockstar services unavailable.

 

I was on last night, played the first Heist twice and everything was flawless. Such bullsh*t.

Alright so currently the servers are down due to mass requests causing the servers to be flooded and slow. Please check these links for when the servers are down or having problems:
