Stupid question, but how do you test vehicles?

I saw some people saying things like "test it before you buy", but how am I supposed to do that? During missions? I read something about content creator, but it is not clear for me

Use the content creator and try them out. Make a deathmatch or something.

i check out what vehicle i am wanting in SP first to get an idea of how it is to drive. also i test them out Online with a few races (non custom races) i have a couple that i use to get a good feel for them. now some say otherwise, but IMO in FR Online only on the slowest vehicles are the performance mods really necessary.

Create a race, then just switch vehicle categories to test them out without mods. Use Franklin in single-player to fully customise vehicles for free before buying in online.

 

I've been doing this for ages, can't imagine how much money I've saved because of it. Probably millions.

Story mode.

 

Buy the car then: crash it, throw it in the water, drive it full speed, try to drift it, shoot at it, and then kill yourself just for fun.

 

Then you buy it on GTAO.

ive made a playlist to check out each vehicle since you can only put a max of 5 vehicle types into any given job

Story Mode if you want to mod them.

Story mode is great for trying out paint jobs, rim colors etc... but the online physics is completely different than story mode.. SP even has animals
