Prison Break Heist not losing cops

I thought it was just me. I finally get a chance to play the finally and they made me pilot. I flew around almost 1.5 hours trying to loose the cops and got tired of all the hate messages on how bad I was and just crashed the plane.

Lol yeah there are some real idiots. Spent a good part of my weekend dealing with this glitch, I think I'm just going to wait for a fix.

Ok now, I've completed this heist finale two times last night, first time I was the host and second time I did it so my friend could complete the heist as well.

Here's what I figured out: first time me and my now two friends who are from the same country than me were on the plane, we only managed to lose the heat when the demoman lost the heat and stay away from the drop off zone. It took us almost 40 minutes. Second time I was the demoman, took the buzzard and lost the heat real easily, after that it

took the rest of the crew about 5 minutes to lose the cops.

But yeah, 100% this has to be a bug related to lag, R* needs to look into this.

We had the same problem. I ended up flying really low out to sea near the yellow marker and then the cops started trying to find us then we lost them. So we took it as having to fly below radar level.

Somebody needs to go into freemode, activate this glitch, find a way to make money off of it and put it on YouTube.

 

Hotfixed by morning.

Finally got an awesome team for the finale. No lives lost on first try. I was piloting. Easy sh*t.

 

Picked them up. Still easy.

 

45minutes later: still have the choppers spawning left and right.

 

I flew very low (almost touching water) around half of LS.

I flew into the circle 5-6 times.

I flew out of Los Santos entirely (10s warning - made it back by 1second...) and still choppers would spawn.

I landed on a railroad, Sandy Shores Airway, on a Freeway, and at LSIA several times. Nothin worked.

 

Eventually crashed it one of the helis that spawned. Honestly, I hoped that destroying it that way would get them to stop spawning - out of fear maybe? No luck, though; it turned out to be a Kamikaze mission.

 

Not surprisingly, they all went Freemode after that - not blaming them, of course.

 

Anywhore... Rockstar: Fuuuuck you.

cool that will help so much when you are in the plane and cant lose the cops. also this problem diesnt happen to the person playing the demo so anyone that gets the bug should still be good to play as demo

I've managed to complete the prison finale 3 or 4

Times or more yesterday and earlier

 

However we tried 3 times today and couldn't lose the cops no matter what we tried as suggested online

 

This sh*t isn't realistic or fun at all

Just make the mission suceed when the reach the waypoint ffs

 

 

Could rockstar fix this goddamn finale first of rebel glitches ffs

I was demolitions and everybody was blaming me for this, saying I had to shoot down the persuing Mavericks. I must've blown up about twenty of them. They eventually landed on a mountain and I ended up dropping a Maverick on them, failing the mission. I felt like it was all my fault until I read this topic.

Has anyone Tried using the buzzard to kill the NOOSE in the prison instead of protecting the Velum?

Okay, guys. Time to share.

 

I have 2 failed and 1 successful attempt as pilot. Succeed once as ground team.

 

And when I succeed as ground team, the pilot said that we have to wait for the next message to show up before flying the plane off after Rash gets in.

 

This seems plausible, because when I was a pilot and succeeded the mission, there was an interference in the runway that makes me wait for a while until Rash got in and clear for me to dash and fly.

Sometimes the reason for not losing the is because someone in your crew is having lag issue or not strong enough connection

its easy to test if you are having problems with not being able to lose the cops get the same people in a car or something get cops on you and try losing them we have found with the same team as in the plane alot of the time we cant lose them while we are all in the same vehicle but as soon as we get out we start losing them.

I got it to work by connecting via LAN, being Demolitions and staying the f*ck away from the velum in order to lose my wanted level while they escaped. Prior to this I was always connecting via wifi and escaping in the plane while the buzzard tailed us. Worked twice with 2 different teams, so evidently I was the source of the problem (that really shouldn't f*cking exist in the 1st place, R*).

 

Not sure which of the above fixed it so try them all.

Just had this glitch today.

 

I swear it was either the Spaniard randoms I've been playing with, or the pilot's internet connect was complete sh*t.

 

I was the demolitions, and must of blown up over 80 helicopters until one of them eventually cussed in spanish and quit while they were inside the plane.

After everyone gets in the plane the pilot should fly low until you reach the water by the checkpoint. It's real easy to lose the cops, keep your eye on the radar bottom left. Make sure it doesn't flash red/blue.

😯 this is an old bug. It is not new, however this is the first time we can not fix it ourselves by someone leaving the car/plane.

This is my theory that i found in a different thread ages back.

1) when you get in the vehicle, you are all at different wanted level phases. When you get in a vehicle with another player, the wanted lvls are meant to sync to the same timer, however if someone has a lag spike, that will cause their timer to go out of sync, therefore when someone in the same vehicle is about to loose their wanted level, it is refreshed by the other player who is now on a different timer. This process repeats till you can reset the timer by leaving the vehicle.

It didn't matter how high or low the pilot flew, the helicopters would spawn right next to them, even when I destroyed them or lured all 3 away from the Velum, one of them trailing me would disappear and respawn back to the Velum.

 

 

 

Honestly I can only see landing the velum inside the wide train tunnel out of the city in which the cops can't trail and helicopters can't see as the only method of removing that police helicopter spawning glitch.

 

 

FYI, both the Demolition member piloting the Buzzard and all 3 inside Velum cannot exit out of the vehicles at any point until you reach the yellow ring circle in the sky after the prisoner and guard escape the prison and get inside the Velum and before that either.

Half the posters in this thread are Kiwi and Australian...which is not surprising since our internet is pretty much the same speed as 56kbit/s dial up. The lag theory seems very plausible indeed.

I want to see a video where the pilot lands the Velum inside the train tunnel while having what this glitch really is, the helicopter spawning glitch, and see if that will initiate the wanted cool-down phase or if the alert on the mini-map keeps flashing red and blue to put an end to this.

It's not a helicopter spawning glitch, is a multiple-people-in-one-vehicle-with-lag glitch. Normally you cure it by leaving the vehicle but not here. Whether there's choppers about or not you never go "out of sight".

Yep, I'm in Sydney and am yet to pass this mission as the pilot (get the bug every time) if i play as demolition, then it works flawlessly. Ideally, I need to try this with 3 Aussie's or kiwi's & see if it works then.

I got this glitch and I believe I have found a way to fix it. This is coming from experience so I know what I'm saying.

 

If you are the pilot, land anywhere that is fairly far from a road. I landed close to the marker, on a flat-ish hill to keep the plane steady. Now, nobody can exit the plane if they are in the Passenger seat. ONLY the pilot can open the door. This is why you can't exit.

 

So, as a pilot when the plane is stationary, press D-Pad Right. The side doors will open and the passengers can exit. In my case, the second I lowered the side doors, the wanted levels started to flash. Just keep the doors open until the stars go away. As a bonus, have the guy in a buzzard close to you as that's what happened in my case.

 

Anybody test this and tell me what's your result.
