Sigh.

 

Please stop posting suggestions on how to lose cops.

 

If this bug affects you, switch roles. If that doesn't work then try finding different players for this finale, because it seems highly likely this is a lag issue

GridloK I can confirm the glitch as we were having this problem the other night together. Last night, I was able to complete it easily with some other friends. It certainly is some type of lag glitch, when you get it it's impossible to get the 5 stars to start blinking.

Err, that's what this thread is about lol. This heist can't be completed when glitched and I've not yet played it where it's not glitched.

Yeah but 90% of the replies are people saying they "solved the issue" by flying into a tunnel or whatever. That's not the glitch!

 

I finally did it after about 20 attempts (plus hours of seeing that Game Services unavailable bollocks) so I'm a little touchy/sore/PTSD about this POS mission, and want to help anyone in the same place :)

Try and play with people local to you, same continent if you can.

My second game the host was from my country and not sure about the other two but it didn't work.

We encountered this issue as well (PS3). Think it took us 6-7 attempts before we finally got rid off the cops in the Velum. There was another heist team in the crew experiencing the exact same problem.

 

The thing that seemed to work for us was to change roles between players.

 

We have our fixed 4-man team of heist members, three from Europe, one from Asia. On our last attempt we eventually we put our asian buddy on the demolition job and put the three europeans in the Velum. One thing we also did slightly differently compared to previous attempts, was to get rid off as many police choppers we possibly could, before we left the airfield.

 

We're still not sure whether it was the role swapping or the chopper tactic that made us succeed in the end. We do know that our asian buddy has a rather fragile connection at times. So, as a suggestion, if you know eachtother's connection speeds and reliability, try and put the one with the weakest connection on the Demo job.

 

It could very well be lag causing this.

I just got home, turned on the PS3 and got another update. The page listing all the updates only goes up to the heist update from tuesday, can't find patch notes.

 

Surely this bug has been fixed now? As well as the missing cargobob magnet bug in the Fleeca heist?

Possibly.

 

Thing is that we had the same issue on the Casco set up job, though there it was obviously easier since you basically both get out of the car to make the stars go flashing.

 

Also on previous attempts, our pilot made sure we were well away from any police vehicle. We had very long periods of flying with zero police around and still the wanted level remained.

 

One other tactic that we tried using, but that failed was for each team to get rid of the 5 stars before meeting up at the Velum. So prison team, Velum pilot and demo person each tried to get rid off the wanted level first, before jumping into the plane, but that did not work at all.

 

It could very well be that it was the chopper tactic that pulled us through, but I'm tempted to believe it had to do with some kind of bug or connection issue like lag.

That's just a video of you flying around at sea, right? That's how to lose cops, not how to deal with the cops-never-lose-sight-of-you glitch, unless I'm misunderstanding.

woke up to a new patch. If there's NO glitch why did they need to patch it. We did it in 10 mins after the patch 1st attempt. They fixed it peeps, get her done!

(sarcasm) wow no one has tried that i mean getting rid of the cops what a new idea. (\sarcasm)

 

nope tried that didnt work.

 

i now have it done by just having randoms join and playing demo till it worked. when it worked they had lose the cops long before getting to the marker. they didnt use any new tricks just the normal way of losing the cops.

 

from the look of it this is to do with ping/lag of players in the jet to the rockstart servers so anyone having this problem may just need to go demo and play with randoms with better connection

The group I was with last night finally got it to work by accident, I played as demolition this time, the pilot panicked and lifted off early leaving behind one of the ground team, forcing them to circle around and land again then take off. When we got closer to the shore both teams wanted level started blinking and was lost. It is glitched and might have something to do with lag but that seemed to work so try both of those if you have the same problem. See if we can get some more successful results.

Did you try taking the police choppers down with the buzzard? High alt, going over the water plus that does the trick for my crew

That doesn't work for people experiencing the glitch, Lameboy. The glitch causes never-ending helicopter spawns in front of the escape plane no matter how high/far out the team goes.

I thought it was just me. I finally get a chance to play the finally and they made me pilot. I flew around almost 1.5 hours trying to loose the cops and got tired of all the hate messages on how bad I was and just crashed the plane.

there's definitely some sorta glitch, cuz loosin the cops were not the issue in my case. here's what ive tryd:

1 - switchin roles

2 - different people (5x with 5 different crews)

3 - flyin under, pressd 'O' then flyin up

4 - the best connection dude bein the pilot

 

all that after the patch, n still same sh*t...

i ran out of options, now i just give up, n im just playin my friends heists...

i hope to find a solution here wit u guys.

Send those n00bs messages back then block them!

 

Yea my progress is stalled on this glitch. But I'm chill. Going to give it a try later, if not will just wait.
