Prison Break Heist not losing cops

Guys, just wanted to give a heads up. We got to the end like a lot of you guys and were unable to loose the cops. After reading here(and another forum) that changing the roles helped other, we did and it worked. The person who was flying the velum sometimes lags out a little while on gta online so we decided to have the person with the best internet connection/less lag fly the velum. It worked right away.

Happened to me and my crew last night too. 45 minutes of flying through 2 fails on Hard. No matter what I did, fly high-low-sideways, I couldn't escape the helis spawning out of nowhere. It was late so we just quit after the 2nd fail lol.

Try getting a car and drive to the tunnel in LS.

The Velum pilot can't exit the plane prior to losing the cops.

When the other two players are in with the escaped inmate, they can't either.

 

They can lose the cops before getting in, but once they're in the plane they also get the permanent wanted stars.

The Buzzard pilot can lose the cops as normal, it seems, but also can't leave the vehicle.

Tried this heist again tonight, same result. Definitely broken.

I've done the finale 3 times without a problem, but I'm curious as to if its possible to get through the prison without alerting the cops?

watched it and it is no help its not people having problems with fly around and finding the marker its bugged and you cant lose the wanted levels. do exacly the same thing and stars stay there had 5 tries at it today with about 8 diffrent people same result the cops dont loss sight of the plane even when there are nope on the map anywhere, doesnt seem to matter if you shoot down 20+ police helicopters it stays the same. you cant lose the wanted levels before getting in the plane and you cant leave the plane after getting in it so its a game breaking bug so with any luck they will put out a patch to fix it but till then i am over playing the same misson for over 10 hour and getting nothing from it

If you're out of sight of the cops, get in their cone so they see you then lose them again. Worked for me.

This happened to my crew. I was the pilot and we couldn't loose the cops for a half-hour until i flew back to the airfield landed tried pressing triangle to get out of the plane it didn't work flew away, literally as i pulled away from the airfield again we started to loose the cops.

Alright I'm only going to reiterate this once... If you don't want to beat the heist that's not my problem...

 

You have to land the plane and let the game think u are in a car. Then the wanted level will blink And die off. That's the trick to it. Can't do that simple step to win go play black ops or whatever instead.

To everyone offering suggestions on how you lost the police, you weren't having the glitch. Stop posting.

 

If it happens to you, play with different people in different roles.

I can't lose the cops in the Station setup either, after I steal the Casco.

Just go into the massive underground tunnel to lose the wanted level. As far as the flying goes I too could not lose the stars until I landed the plane and the stars would blink in no time. Just trying to help so don't get flustered here. We all want to get to the better heists right...

I did the prison break heist, and on two of our attempts we escaped the cops no problem. The rest of the attempts were that someone died. I stopped playing when it got too late.

been stuck on this prision break heist for 2 nights in a row now unable to escape the cops tried alot of things iin this thread none have worked so i think im just gona drop heists for abit

We were just sitting at los santos airport with no cops at all around us

ive been trying this heist for 3 days now and still have had no luck all because i cant lose the cops... tried it about 20 times 15 of which we succeed to get to the end and we are all in the plane except for the demo guy, and we have gone around almost the entire map without even getting the stars to flash, and each time ive tried it it has been with completely different people ive even tried every role about 3 times each and nothing has made a difference, this is beyond painful now and is more than beyond a joke.. such a little flaw that ruins the entire mission and prevents you from progressing with the heists at all, and it dosent help that it takes about half an hour to find people, set up the heist, and get to the plane part (and if your lucky you wont fail or have someone quit on you) ive given up for now but im gonna keep checking these threads in hope that R* gets there shieeeeettttttt together -.-

I lost the cops just fine thankfully. I just hope they patch the game next week to fix some Heist problems(And SP Heist vehicles *cough*)

Were there two people in the Casco?

You have to have one person in the Casco to lose them. Because you or the passenger might be lagging.

Just happened to me aswell, it is a glitch, I tried all suggestions. Second night in a row, many hours wasted.

We tried restarting for hours nothing worked. Gave up in the end. One bug or another has meant I still! Haven't completed a heist.

You can't exit the plane... There's no way around this its just a stuffed up bit of code.

There is no glitch, the demolition man is supposed to take the choppers off of you and you must envade the spawning choppers that have not seen you.

RawGo0n there is a glitch how hard is it for people to get it just because you have not had it doesnt mena it is not there have a look and will find alot of people having the same problems thisis not some its too hard it is a bug where to cops dont go away when they should be
