Whatever happens in the Velum the cops won't even disappear, nothing. Hour now and we're still flying the plane

Seriously a glitch.

 

We got it to work by flying really low to the ground south of the main pier with the roller coasters. We were able to start losing the stars at that point.

 

Let me know if this works for you.

We'd been flying for 50 mins, but not once had the stars flashed to say we're evading :O

Sounds just like the "steal a Cargobob" mission and then lose the cops. If you don't know ahead of time that you can only lose them by flying out to sea (behind the air base) then you'll get shot to shreds every time, because the Cargobob can't out fly the police choppers.

Another epic fail for R* that they still haven't fixed; it still screws up missions for new players that don't know this magic "secret"; and for many missions, Lester's "lose wanted level" is disabled ("Hey, this is Lester, I don't answer my phone...yada yada" crap). Even for Lester's own fricking missions.

 

Please explain to me how heists, which have taken well over a year and supposedly have been rewritten and scrutinized with a microscope, STILL HAVE pathetically obvious bugs like this?

When the guys in prison got the prisoner i lost the jets, i picked them op flyed to the dropoff and i was done

did 3 times on hard man wen u get to the mark fly up real high

I seriously appreciate the help, but we tried everything.

 

It happened earlier in the setup as well that we would not lose the cops unless we got out of the vehicle. But when flying the Velum it would not even let us land it or get out.

Sometimes when 2 ppl are in a vehicle. The game will not lose stars until both players exit the vehicle/chopper/plane etc.. This glitch occurred way before this update too

It only happen if 1 person is lagging then everyone have to re enter and the lagger is last.

Just experienced this, flew around for half an hour with no change. After 5-7 more tries without even making it into the air everyone just said fk it.

It's happens when someone is lagging try to replace the person or the suspect.

We had the same problem, we flew high and low, but then tried flying away from the police helicopters around and finally lost the wanted level.

The people can also get in the buzzard and meet you there.

All the "solutions" in this thread are mere speculation, unfortunately. We tried several attempted the prison break three times yesterday and tried several of the suggestions offered, nothing worked.

 

Honestly, it seems more like luck. Maybe lag is the issue, but we didn't see anyone with a bad connection before we got to the buggy part. It's hard to know who the culprit is.

 

Rockstar simply has to fix this, instead of letting everyone who wants to do the heist (not to mention all the heists in order for the bonus, as we are) try for hours or even days on end, just hoping that maybe the cops will finally stop looking after a long time.

 

The update is super promising and had lots of cool surprises (also a fan of the unlocking-vehicles-through-heist-missions), but this bug makes the Prison Break finale unplayable for most and stops those players dead in their tracks when it comes to progressing through heists.

The person who was flying the velum sometimes lags out a little while on gta online so we decided to have the person with the best internet connection/less lag fly the velum. It worked right away.

Glad to read I'm not the only one. Spent the entire afternoon trying to complete this heist finale with different groups of strangers. Very difficult without communication and players that have no idea what they're doing. We made it to the plane multiple times, and this happened every time. I really want to enjoy the heists and the new gameplay, but it's stupid bugs like this that take the fun out of it for me. Even more so when you're promised a working, polished game after it gets delayed multiple times.... /rant
