phone gets stuck when trying to view email

after the last update (1.21) whenever i try to open the email on any of the characters phone it tilts and get stuck instead of going landscape. when that happens the only thing i can do with my character is walking or driving, although if i get to water the phone sets off screen.

 

ideas or solution for solving this?

Have you tried re-installing the update? Does it still get stuck on a different save?

It gets stuck on older saves as well. I'll try reinstalling the update now

 

edit: I have deleted and reinstalled the update but the problem persists

If you delete the update and play disconnected from the the internet, does the problem persist? It may also be worth reinstalling the game data.

I reinstalled the game data without the update but the problem persisted, then I tried to update the game but I canceled the update just before the latest update started downloading and it works!

I think I figured it out. I think you can only have one Strangers and Freaks quest at a time...so either don't pick up the one to get the submarine pieces, or finish it first.

My phone  blinks  and then freezes  when  I hit emails  i can still  drive walk. I don't know what to do
