After my PS3 informed me it will take 500 minutes to download the update I stopped and started playing the Crew. I'll try downloading tomorrow.

Instead of blaming Rockstar, use your brain and think about how many people are downloading the same update right now. We're all effectively DDoS'ing the servers. Sony servers are the ones you should blame.

 

OH RLY? Idiot...

 

STEAM have more users at the same time than this sh*tty PSN and I can easily download games and updates at 5mb/s

 

So please, shut the f*ck up moron.

Not sure if trolling or a complete idiot.

Am I the only person on PSN that doesn't have any issues downloading this?

also; i'm sitting here with 5 mins left and 50% completed after one error, looking good so far :)

10 mins here with 3/4 downloaded. No problems so far.

Looks like its time for a new hard drive,

I feel your pain. But the bad news are, there's no HDD upgrade here in my country. And in order to get one, my father need to send money to my uncle in Morocco to buy one.... And ship it here.....

......Which equals 400 LD at least. Too much hassle. :/

 

 

That's a pain in the backside, £40 here in the UK or upgrade to PS4 but just can't justify that expense as i'm not a hard core gamer

Mine gets stuck at 63%, after a hour, it moves on 64%.

Screw it, i'll try it tomorrow.

I know this may sound dumb but PC HDD's do work too.

I just bought one (for Toshiba?), inserted it in the side of my PS3, placed a plastic bag to keep the thing steady in its place, started my PS3 and Viola - "There's a new Hard Disk Drive - do you want to install?" or whatever crap it said.

 

C'mon PS3, install already.....

Just give it time man and do something else, I had to wait nearly 2 hours to play the game and now the servers are f*cking up

Now i'm worried i won;t be able to get on later. I did download it this morning at 7am pst and had no issues. Well no, the first time i tried to DL is froze on a black screen. Then i just shut the whole thing off with the switch and tried again. !0 min later i was ready to go but then i had to get ready for work.

 

I'll be tring it out and buying some stuff when i go hm for lunch and then will really get open on it this evening when me and my crew can all jump on..

 

Good luck to those trying to DL and conqratz to those that got it already. The day has finally arrived.. woot woot.

Please tell me about it! I'm trying to download it from 10am today. It's now 7pm here! And I took a f*cking day off from work because of this! It's now at 95% and not moving. I'm so pissed off right now. And it takes alot to make me mad.

Blame Sony and Rockstar servers, 12% left for me. Started the download 4 hours ago.

I got a 3mb/s connection.
It took me 2,5 hours to download the update but I got it on my first attempt
Are you using wireless or wired connection?

Guys if you have PS Plus utilise it's features!

 

I set my PS3 to automatically turn on and download the update today at a time frame that made sense for when it would be released.

 

As I was at college today this was quite useful.
