Wouldn't it be great if R* did a special crate event where you get a limited time car in the crate. It would certainly increase competition for the crates.

Woud be completely nutts if it was a key and you woud need to go to some place to pick it up while everyone can still steal the key from you by killing you :)

Wouldn't it be great if the only way to get minigun ammo was in crates? It would limit the use of that overpowered weapon, give greater motivation to get crates, and would make sense considering the minigun is the most heavy-duty military-style armament in the game...

That would be fantastic but it would be a pointless feature considering people would just turn on passive mode after getting the keys.

This. On days where the special crates contained a shirt that everyone and their mother has, I still saw special crate battles.

Special Crate contains a key.

 

Key can be dropped if killed.

 

Anyone can pick up the key. (Key icon on you now)

 

Key opens a parked Special car/bike/truck/etc or Pegasus vehicle.

 

This vehicle is not marked on the map anywhere. (The name of the key indicates which vehicle to look for)

 

Using Passive Mode drops the key.

 

The object would be to get the key, avoid getting wasted, search for the vehicle and when you get it, successfully bring it back to your apt or garage and it now yours. To keep.

 

Just an idea.

Does it say a new special crate is dropping?

 

Otherwise it is just a normal special crate, they drop from time to time.

The car thing wouldn't work. You all know that. It'd have to be explosive proof until it's yours or people will troll

 

And R*'d never do that because cars = $$$$$

 

And people fight tooth and nail for a clothing I already see them wearing so.... :p
