When do you think we'll actually get to play Heists?

I'm thinking Thursday evening, at the earliest. The download will take forever because the servers are going to get overwhelmed, and the GTA Online will probably crash and become inaccessible after heists drop. Of course, R* will recommend submitting a ticket for your issue.

Without a doubt, the servers are going to be having issues tomorrow, no denying that. I do agree that Thursday at the earliest, that's when the servers will be working again and then we'll actually be able to play heists.

Well if there is one thing R* was smart about, is the you have to wait for a call from Lester to begin a heist... This will allow them to balance the server load (as much as is actually possible) and avoid that clusterf#ck scenario we usually encounter when it's a event weekend...

 

...I'm sure there will still be significant issues at times, but (fingers crossed) i'm hoping for the best! :)

XBL and PSN download speeds will definitely fluctuate tomorrow. It'll be a bandwidth bloodbath in the first hours of update's release and following rush hour (certainly in east/west coasts) as people get back from school/work. I'd still recommend getting it as early as possible.

Most GTA Online updates come out on a Tuesday. Therefore, Heists are expected to come out (this may shock you) on Tuesday, March 10th.

 

Legends have it that you may be able to play the Heists on that very date.

Just like the day GTA Online launched, and no one was able to play it for what... days? Weeks? If not more?

 

How about the same thing when GTA V came out on next gen consoles and Online went down for a few days?

 

Everyone is going to fire up their consoles to play this game tomorrow, who probably haven't touched it in a really long time. You really think R* servers are going to handle the load? You're the one who believes in legends.

MAYBE tomorrow rockstar learned the hard way about server demand so they have no excuse not to deliver tomorrow

Personally I think it won't be that bad when the update goes live.

Even if the servers are having massive issues until thursday, I'll spend my time with the new cars, clothes, weapons and other things in a private session.

6 AM EST

10 AM GMT

 

Around those times, bc it would kill the servers if everyone would get the update right there and then.

Weve waited so long. Im giving it another week before even attempting to play GTA online just to make sure, being the first to play doesn't bother me one bit I've got gardening to do and a girlfriend to take to the movies tomorrow.
