hi everyone, I keep trying to rob some stores to finally get enough money to buy a good car, but I keep getting killed either by the shopkeeper or by some pedestrian whenever I run out.

Can you provide any tips on robbing stores that might help me out?

thank you

Kill the clerk, or walk out with your gun towards him. Then run in to your car as fast as you can

Shoot up his stock as it makes him work harder at emptying the till. You get 2* but if you shoot the shop keeper you get 3*

Shoot the shop keeper after he drops the bag.

Don't do that because it will increase your wanted level.

Step 1: check to see the dude that killed you whilst you make a coffee whilst the game loads has truly ran away

Step 2: aim gun at clerk

Step 3: accidentally pull right trigger too far killing clerk

step 4: empty till

Step 5: find new session

To answer the question for those that need the help.

Scope the store for people in the area. In the sticks the peds will attack otherwise walking into some peds or driving the car at the ones outside may encourage them to vacate.

Once the area is clear, put a shelf between you and the door (stand at the other side of a shelf to the door).

Aim at clerk and start shooting stock behind the clerk to hurry them up.

When the bag is full put a few more rounds past the clerk to get him to run.

Grab bag and flee

The first three robberies in a session will give you 2 stars, 3 for the next 3 or 4 and 4 stars after that.

After the clerk gives you money, fire a shot at him(But not where it'll hit) and he'll run to the back

Every so often a pedestrian will take shots at you after a robbery, so keep an eye on "hang arounds" after you pull up to the store. Find a way to get them to go away without shooting at them, and then they won't be around to shoot at you when you rob the place.

There is your problem right there. Robberies are terrible for making money.

Do random missions and hope you don't get partnered with trolls.

You make more money just shooting the clerk robbing the register yourself and getting to the next store ASAP before the cops kill your. Crank them out back to back, don't even sweat the cops. Just hurry.

Also park in front of the door just far enough that your can get in but still keep cops out.

I park my car next to the store for a quick getaway. Then I walk in.. buy some candy bars that I may have used during a mission, then aim my SILENCED pistol at him. The silencer makes it less likely for a pedestrian to try and respond to the gunshots and fight you. I shoot around him to get him to speed up and then when he gives me the money, I quickly back away from the counter and out the door while aiming at him the entire time. If he does decide to be a hero and pull a gun out, I shoot him in the arm and run for it. If a pedestrian starts shooting outside, you'll get a red dot on the radar. As soon as this happens, try and aim at them and shoot them dead. The clerk should still be emptying the bags if you don't scare him too much.

Worst case scenario, he runs out of the store and you have to rob the register itself. The tough part is the actual escape. Plan accordingly and look for alleys nearby to hide your car. The cops rarely check alleys, and when they do, as long as you don't do anything stupid, they won't search too hard.

If you rob too many stores in a row, you get even more stars for each robbery, meaning the escape gets more and more difficult. So if you plan on doing a robbing spree, be prepared by having an armored car with bullet proof tires and small rear windows to prevent cops from shooting you in the back.

This is excellent advise. I do the same to avoid random peds wanting to save the day to cause trouble during a robbery.

Aim the minigun in the head, i doubt he'd draw his remington 12gauge when you turn back.
