I'm sure it's only for that particular mission.

I'm sure no one has any idea.

Somebody's moody. Have a cranberry juice. Not really he just has a point. Won't kmow for another 16 hours.

I wouldn't get too hyped only to be dissapointed, that looks nothing like Nitro in my opinion.

As I said in the main thread, it looks more like a simple speed boost, ala Races.

But its not a race...its a heist. Why would parts of the mission be scripted like that?

You believe you misinterpreted my point.

I'm not saying you'll be using like a race, I meant it seemed like an automatic speed boost that works similar to race boosts.

Why? Well, we already have some examples of limited bits in the game for no real reason, moot question, mate.

Yeah i know what you meant originally. So what, you think that there will be some marker that everyone will have to reach which will then trigger a cutscene and suddenly everyone is on bikes with a countdown that says 3 2 1 go? If you answer no, then its nitrous. If you answer yes, its boost. But its highly unlikely that its a cutscene. Edited by Iroquois

It's KERS, Kinetic energy recovery system. For those who are familiar with F1, they know what that means.

Those who don't: Basically it means that the vehicle can store heavy brake energy on onboard batteries. This energy can be used for extra performance.

"~z~Remember, the bikes have KERS. They store up energy to accelerate when you brake." KERS confirmed.

If it is KERS I'd expect it to work on throttle inputs vs working like NOS, you brake, when you get back on the gas you get the power boost.

In real life it is/was done by pressing a button on the steering wheel, releasing the energy when you wanted.

Maybe they replaced the horn (press left stick) with the activation of the KERS. Just like how they do with boosts and rockets in races.

There's racing series' where it's throttle dependent also so it's not one size fits all.

Could be. I think it might be probematic if it was throttle dependant in the busy streets of LS where most go full throttle all the time. I guess we will know in 14 hours.

Depends how long the boost lasts for, it'd certainly help to accelerate quickly out of a corner.

Anything that shifts color is automagically a boost

Ingame text messages from the heist mission say the bike is equiped with KERS, there is no debate.
