It may just be a special feature on the Lectro, like how the McLaren P1 has KERS/"Nitrous".

 

Doubt it'll be equitable to everything.

I wouldn't get too hyped only to be dissapointed, that looks nothing like Nitro in my opinion.

 

As I said in the main thread, it looks more like a simple speed boost, ala Races.

I do, I was one of the unfortunate owners.

 

This is different however, Ratloaders didn't completely screw or in some cases, ruin elements of the game.

 

Plus, the Nitro wasn't added by Rockstar themselves, the Ratloader was, so the comparison is a tad confusing.

man it really sucked when they took all my nitrous away .

 

They should make it an option at lsc so everyone can have it and it will be fair play !!!

it makes stunting in free-mode so much better !

pretty sure that's what it was/is. Which if is the case, is not hard to implement at all. Hopefully this is another case of rockstar holding out

Thats what the nitrous boost does. You must not have had it on your cars before then.

i do recall someone (Rockstar?) mentioning heists/car exclusive upgrades,maybe it unlocks for FM after that particular heist?

But its not a race...its a heist. Why would parts of the mission be scripted like that?

If you notice the bike on the far right, it accelerates before the others. It definitely looks like a boost of some sort. The question is whether it is specific to that bike or a mod that can be applied to other vehicles. Saying that, the footage looks like a cut scene so it could be just for that.

You believe you misinterpreted my point.

 

I'm not saying you'll be using like a race, I meant it seemed like an automatic speed boost that works similar to race boosts.

 

Why? Well, we already have some examples of limited bits in the game for no real reason, moot question, mate.

I'm not boarding the Hypetrain to GTAF Disappointmentville, but I'm willing to concede this looks like it's more than just a video trick; it makes the woosh noise and has the screen tinting that a "turbo start" in races has.

 

Now, whether it's a special gimmick for the hist cutscene, a new upgrade for the Lectro, or a whole new mechanic is another story.

looks to me as if the last frames were sped up to make the outro a little cooler

but could be there is a nitro, they have been mentioning new options in LSC

lets wait and see :D
