You Play Solo?, lol Good Luck With Heists

As being a predominantly solo player myself, the upcoming heists have me worried. I mean, there are a lot of bads that cant even complete normal missions as it is, imagine trying to complete multi stage heists with them.

Any other solo players worried that are pretty much going to miss out on a large part of the game altogether?

Id highly recommend reaching out to people on this forum. I was once a solo player after totally losing faith in the player base. But I have found a couple of groups of player who are just so much fun. As Im a tad older than the average player I was still able to find like minded people (whom actually approached me) to play together and have been invited and join their Crew. Find out what you would like out of a crew and go hunt out some people. For me the game has become even more fun sharing it with others. I know that may come across cheesy but its true.

My experience is completely the opposite!

 

I was on PS3 from launch to next gen release and by June about every 3rd mission would be sabotaged.

 

Seems better on Xbone but I rarely do missions with randoms anymore, only Landing Gear, Method in Madness, chop chop etc...

 

I'm hoping I can get on with friends once a month to do Heists

Since all of my family and friends who played GTA5 have moved onto other games and/or consoles, if I was to do the heists it would have to be with randoms.

Doing heists with friends or crew does clearly mean sabotage and trolling is unlikely. But that don't mean they would be any more competent than a random.

I admit it that for me it may become challenging to find people to do heists with. The crew I was with was kinda good, kinda annoying. The only time I died was when I was with them, they gave the impression that they were top notch players, but then all of a sudden they make sloppy & stupid moves, like not driving off when it's clear we're going to get blown up 15 seconds from now if we don't move.

 

I will be in the hunt to join a crew on PC. The good news is that as there are no PC crews yet, I also have the fresh opportunity to form my own.

I'm really behind on this, but I don't think you'll be forced to do the entire heist and preparations in one sitting. Hence, the random people you play with will change from one preparation mission to the other. If you so choose. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Why don't you change the title of this thread to 'solo player heist meet-up', get it moved to the correct subforum. And start recruiting people from here which may (or not) be more trustworthy than randoms.

You don't need to do Heists day one. I feel once the hype of Heists has blown over, it will be a lot easier to find people to do them with.

 

Tbh they don't seem that amazing, just new content. I think once people play them, they will get boring quick.

No I will be the Heists Leader (to ensure Progress is saved when I leave, meaning I can leave and still complete everything in order towards the Challenges) and if need be use Bribery to encourage good results from "Randoms". Which would be something like 10% for me and 30% for everyone else.

I usually do contact jobs alone but I did find a few people to do the Heists with.

 

To anyone that needs people to do the Heists with. If you're on the PS3, then feel free to add me. My PSN is the same as my GTAF name. Before you add me, open up the spoiler below so that you'll know what we are looking for. That way you can decide on doing the Heists with us or not.

 

 

 

My two buddies, and I, have been looking for a 4th person for the Heists. We have had many offers but we only successfully played GTA Online with one of those people that offered. We would like to get to know you and run a few missions with you before we decide to do Heists with you. We have to make sure you won't f*ck up the Heists on purpose for the rest of us and can generally handle your own. If you can handle your own and is pretty well versed with GTA5, then we'll know that you will make for a good Heist team member.

 

The three of us all have mics and are well above 18yrs old. The youngest person, being me, is 22 (soon to be 23). My two buddies ages range from late 30's to early 40's. We all live in America too. I live in the Central Time Zone whereas my two buddies live in the Eastern Time Zone. We're all laidback and cool dudes.

 

In preparation for the Heists, we've been hanging out in a private free roam session, doing contact jobs, and selling cars in between the contact jobs.

 

It will most certainly help if you have a mic. That way coordination will be easier and it'll benefit us all in the long run.

 

We don't expect to beable complete the first Heists as it will be all of our first time doing them along with yours. So if we end up failing it, then it's no biggie. We'll just redo them.

 

We also plan to take turns being the leader. That way we'll all get a chance at getting a bigger pay.

 

The payout percentage will be one of the two:

35 - Leader

25 - All Crew Members

Or:

40 - Leader

20 - All Crew Members

 

We may also adjust the payout percentage's differently based on your role. The more important roles may get a 5% increase in payout.

 

If all the people, who have offered to be our 4th Heist member, got on GTA Online finally and wanted to join us in the Heists, we may end up grouping the extra people together. That way they can all have a chance at doing the Heists. We may also end up switching around who we do the Heists with too. That way each playthrough of the Heist will be different. Of course, I'm talking about after completing all of the Heists before switching around the teams.

 

If you come to a final conclusion that you are interested in doing the Heists with my two buddies and I, plus any of the other people who offered to be our 4th member. Then we welcome you and look forward to meeting you and making some big cheese(money) with you!

Nope... it's your choice to play alone. Be social, make friends.

My wife and I own two xbox1s and have local and online friends who we play with. So there is always someone. Try joining small crews and get to know some people. Who knows, you may just have fun while your at it.

Solo players who are a part of this forum should be okay. We have a useful tool at our disposal, which is networking with like-minded people and arranging things here rather than rolling the dice with a total stranger.

 

Even solo players who don't use this forum will be fine. Joining a crew in-game is easier than replacing a light bulb. There isn't any need for this thread.

I'm on the same boat as you, OP. I have absolutely noone to play with let alone grind for achievements/other rewards. And I just can't stand the randoms who mess up half the time.

I was hoping that there will be an AI option but it seems like it's players only. Worse of all, most vehicles are heist-unlocked.

Why bother with randoms if you're posting here on the forums? Go to a recruitment/meet-up sub, and hook up with some other players (who are likely also in need of prospective team-mates). Sorted - never have to deal with an rando fumbling a job ever again!
