Because they're not colors you see regularly on NPC vehicles. Also, they're unlocked for breaking certain milestones. Winning 100 races, all stunt jumps, etc.

 

Like the tattoos my character has. All were unlocked for meeting specific requirements.

I don't feel they are ugly colours I feel they are very hard to pull off unless its a bifta as I feel its hard not to find a ugly combo for it even though there probably is a ugly colour for it somewhere. Some cars just don't pull them off but that's my opinion.

It's a 2013 in Jalapeno Metallic this color was discontinued in 2014 and replaced with Lime Metallic but it's still nice oh and it's an amazing car also I love it.
