Also, it's not that simple. It all depends on who the pedestrian you're standing next to is. Gang members will attack you pretty fast. Some others might just walk away nervously. For most of them, you have either say something (SP), or do an action. Just standing there next to someone doesn't work. For the most part

I can understand why they'd get "mad" for the player standing so close, it's the same situation in the real world half the time.

 

But it's annoying when they start to call the cops or start attacking me.

 

I've had times where I looked away for a minute and left my character just standing there next to a Balla or even a normal NPC, I look back and they're punching or shooting the hell out of me.

Poor programming? Happens so often that I expect nearly every npc to start on me now. The other day I walked into a store to refil my snacks. I checked a message that I just recived and when I came back I was standing 2 blocks away missing $500. Didn't even shove the two guys at the door, just walked in normally minding my own business...

 

I still don't understand the reason of the last sh*t I had. I was in Invite Only with a friend. He's in clothing store with car parked outside and he went afk for so long. Then, I waited for him by sitting in my car in front of the shop and went to bathroom. When I came back, I got 3 stars, my friend was still in the clothing store and got kicked from the lobby for idling, and I got killed by cops.

Npc's react to your appearance too.

 

In my experience they dont enjoy the company of a maniac with a 'please stop me' killer mask...

sh*t.. that explains why whenever I was wearing that mask, I would always end up in a fight with a npc for no apparent reason. The NPC's just don't know how awesome it is to wear that mask. One day, when they have that mask, they too will understand the awesomeness that that mask is and never will want to take it off.
