manupa14
I know it sounds like a silly topic, and I know it will never be a reality, however, considering now there are mobile devices more powerful than PS3 and xbox 360, do you think it would be techincally possible to port the ps3 version to android? Just a silly question that popped into my mind Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/771469-gta-v-android/ Share on other sites
happygrowls
Nope, if there are mobile phones that are so good to run GTA V in about 20 years I doubt R* will port it. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/771469-gta-v-android/#findComment-1067079527 Share on other sites

OurJud
... considering now there are mobile devices more powerful than PS3 and xbox 360 Is this a fact or just your opinion. I can't think of any mobile device that could run games with the same performance levels, even of last gen consoles. Vanzant
I think he's talking about cloud streaming PS3/PS4 games to a Smartphone/Tablet. Something Sony was working on. hornedturtle
They have enough cpu to run it but not enough gpu. Also most phones have most their cpu used up with bloatware, so it would run like ass. CanOdope
Port? No. However, if you have a PS4, you can get a modified RemotePlay apk and stream any of your games to any android device. However, it does take some effort to get it set up properly, and you'll also need a solid, fast home network in order to avoid latency issues. Also, you must have a rooted phone. If you'd like to know more, pm me. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/771469-gta-v-android/#findComment-1067080567 Share on other sites

Even works with a cheap 2.4ghz Wifi connection (Althought a 5ghz signal is needed to play it in high def). You can download it from XDA Developers and sideload it to your device. I'm using it in my Note 4 right now and works just fine.EDIT: Also, Its really easy to install. Just grab the apk, install it, put your PSN account and you're good to go! CanOdope
My mistake... I thought it required root. I know that with my device (AT&T GS4) it took some effort to get it working right. It did require root because in order to play over 4G LTE I had to use an Xposed Module (Fake WiFi Connection). Also, it can be quite difficult to get the buttons mapped correctly. Hook your control holding the PS Button + Share for a couple of seconds until the device recognizes it. As for the fake wifi, I never tried it. I will put my hands on it when Xposed will be compatible with Samsung Lollipop roms.. manupa14
Nvidia shield is more powerful at least in raw power terms than last gen consoles, and probably a whole lot new devices this year will be as well, plus let's remember that gta v on last gen runs at only 720p Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/771469-gta-v-android/#findComment-1067081616 Share on other sites
