San Andreas was arguably the best GTA game and that was released only 2 years after Vice City. Quality is definitely important but waiting 5 years of more between games is too long. Even though Take Two don't mind letting Rockstar take their time to do each game, if Activision did end up buying TT like it was rumored a while ago then I'm sure we would get GTA's more often (I don't want it to become annual, but every 2-3 years would be ideal). Osho Posted April 4, 2015 Share Posted April 4, 2015 If what the history of their past games suggests, still holds true then, they may have already started planning on their next game after the release of GTA V. Maybe not much further into the development phase because of ONLINE but stepped up as best they could as to start working on it. Just a guess. Can't say much right now. ce102088 Posted June 7, 2015 Share Posted June 7, 2015 I hear about gta 6 a lot, there seems to be a lot of people talking about it being released and what's going to be in the game but I do not know why people even bother, the game will most likely not be out for 5-6 years meaning they have not started yet (or if an open world game like gta takes forever to make they would just be starting to make it). Why would it be 5-6 years till gta 6 would be released? GTA 3 was released in late 2001 and 6 years later in early 2008 they released gta 4 and then 5-6 years later in mid-late 2013 gta 5 was released, so about 6 years in-between all the games. What do you think? will the game be released some time around the year 2020? What do you think will be in gta 6 and what would you like to see? I hope not I hope it's a subtitled game like say they use the name of the city it's set in for example GTA San Fierro or I know this name has a bad reputation around here lol but f*ck it I hope they call it GTA Vice City nights! I think they have some big plans to extend GTA ONLINE garbage either with additional extended map add-on or maybe a completely different game with a returning old setting ( like LC ) exclusive to Online gameplay. I think 5 years is the most plausible development time. 2018 is highly possible. As for info and announcement, i expect to see it in late 2016/early or mid 2017. Rockstar has said that once they run out of ideas, they would stop making sequels of franchises, as should any developer (I'm looking at you, Activision). They did a real innovation within the series with GTA V, so I hope GTA VI does the same.
