Why have a LAZER when you can have a hydra?

The lazer has the op minimal skill explosive cannons, the hydra would only have dual rockets which can't be spammed like in San Andreas, so the only way the average player would get a kill is with a lock on.

The hydra would be useless in a dogfight and useless in general compared to a buzzard or a lazer. The only benefit is that you can go as fast as a lazer and be able to land with anywhere with ease.

There's no need for balance, if they want to sell hydras it needs to make the later redundant in every way. That's how it should be. Like everyone else I'm sick of wanks in jets and they need to be stopped from going to the base. I'll by a hyrda just like I bought the tank, for stopping people upsetting my relaxing days in the city.

We have no idea what weapons the Hydra has. They could be just 50cal machine guns against the Lazer's explosive rounds and rockets. I would spend more time dicking about with it rather than shooting people so I'm happy its a Pegasus vehicle. Just wish they would do the same with the cargobob -_-

I think we are going to have to wait and see what the hydra can actually do. If they are equals as far as speed, maneuverability and weaponry it will be a matter of personal preferance. I would imagine the hydra would have to sacrafice something since it has hovering abilities.

IRL the F16 is a better dogfighter than the Harrier. It is smaller/ligher/faster/more nimble and can accelerate vertically. Harriers are better suited at engaging ground targets but not as good in aerial combat. I'd be very surprised if the Hydra is as fast or as nimble as the Lazer.

Depends on the weapons on the Hydra. If it has no Explosive cannons then the Lazer has already won.

 

However if the hydra has it then the Lazer is screwed, I still think there is hope for the Hydra if no explosive cannons if theres no cooldown or extremely short cooldown for the missiles. Kinda like in this video (I know it's not a Harrier or a jet video but I couldn't find anything that had a jet in it like this)

the hydra clearly has some sort of cannons on it, as seen here (look at the bottom of the fuselage)

and if even the valkyrie has a gun at the front which is NOT fixed in place, and which fires explosive rounds, i dont see why a hydra cant have explosive cannons

The Hydra is going to be able to act like a helicopter, which we will use thinking "I got this, I can do it", then we'll die. It also isn't going to have cannons. But, it may be faster.

 

The Lazer, I can drop down and cannon like nothing, and avoid sh*t in the way and homing missiles easily.

 

I'll try the Hydra out, and try to see how far I can get with it. But chances are, I'll stick with the Lazer. The Lazer has proven to be the most efficient thing for me, so I doubt I leave it.

Most likely, that's just a machine gun. It might be good for trying to hit slow moving cars when coming in low, but running players and players in fast and heavily armored cars, It'll be worthless.

Yeah, the leaks pretty much guarantee that it's buyable. I'm pretty interested to see how they balanced the hydra. Slow speed, short range, missiles don't lock on, etc.

it appears hydra is far heavier than lazer . as in trailer , it seen after firing dual missiles the police maverick , the wing hit the maverick and destroy them but the hydra itself remain intact ( perhaps a same glitch that was seen online )
