Will Free Mode become a ghost town now?

Recommended Posts

Not gonna happen. People will still be killing time (and you) in free mode. Don't forget that there's lots of players who are already stinking rich, and players who don't give a crap about heists. Allegedly, anyway, according to some people on the forum. Though some of them may just try to act like it to seem cooler.

Plenty of players are only interested in killing lots of others, and FM is the best place for that. It's not like all the free mode activities are going to disappear. People will still want to do stunts, mess with other players, go on rampages with cops, go on quiet bike rides and generally mess around. Also don't forget that while some jobs are fun, people don't want to repeat them for hours on end each day. I'm not sure you can even 'grind' heists? Maybe there's a lock-out period?

Don't worry about it.

Free Roam will be the same regardless. Not everyone is going to be able to do heists right away (connection issues, or crew wise). Plus Rockstar is releasing more stuff to do in free roam in which I'll be interested in doing. Actually, Free Roam might be a bit more peaceful for awhile since all those COD Squeakers will be spending time doing heists rather than shoot everything in sight with their crappy Zentorno's.

Heist is a co-op mode where people GOT TO work together, it's like Contact Missions but is even more strict on the co-op aspect. In Missions you can run down your partners with your car and solo if you wanted, do that in Heist it's supposedly a fail.

A huge amount of GTA players are not into co-op play, they just wanna go online and kill people or do deathmatches.

So no worries OP, free roam won't be dead cause of heists.

I was in free roam earlier and I had 360 JP (that's 24 missions for those that don't wanna do math) and only one other player in the room of maybe 20 had 15 JP. As always, most in free roam don't care about missions or jobs. I can't see heists being any different.

Free roam won't be a ghost town.

maybe they do care, just that when you change sessions your jp becomes reset.

What he said.

Speaking for myself, coming week I will have 3 friends playing so I'll likely be roaming around because they are probably not ready yet in between the heists buying ammo, armor and other stuff. Perfect times to take the unlocked vehicles for a spin, a new activity or to do a daily challenge. I'll try to do all new stuff except for the PVP modes (except maybe Hasta la vista)

naaa people would binge through heist then be back at freeroam to play with the new toys, then come here and bitch about being bored already...

all this within a 12 hour period

Considering mostly everyone will be on Heists. I'll be kind of bummed if there is like only 8 people in your Free Mode session instead of the usual "packed" lobby. Thoughts?

Maybe for the first few days, but after the heists are complete it'll just be complete and utter carnage...
