Zello
I didn't need any time to appreciate IV mainly because it took me two years to get the damn game I remember watching the trailers and the previews on G4 back in 2007-2008 (It's gone now ) Then getting on the hype train for IV sadly I didn't have a 360 back in 08 and I was underage I finally managed to get it in late 2010 when I somehow got my uncle to buy the complete edition for me. I sat down put IV in and the rest is history Edited March 26, 2015 by Zello Official General and The Dedito Gae

Homemade Dynamite
I didn't have to warm up to it to like it, but I appreciated some things about IV more after playing V, such as its story, atmosphere, characters, and the overall mechanics. I thought they were normal at the time, but after playing V it gives me a whole new appreciation for them. thafablifee46
No , I remember being 13 and playing it for the first time. Greatest experience ever . Idk why people say that game was boring
StellarRunner
I almost fully appreciate it from the first time. The only thing that pissed me off was that you accelerate the car with R2. Nowadays I prefer R2, but in those days I don't know why I didn't like it. Queen
^ Yeah, I don't think I liked it either, but it turned out to be a great change.
CarnageRacing00
No, it was love at first sight. Took a bit of getting used to the new physics and character control, but the first time I saw the game at a friend's house prompted me to buy a PS3 and a copy of the game. Haha365
I tried I really tried, for a little over a year but I never did. I did take to the Episodes relatively easy though and enjoyed them thoroughly. SmokesWithCigs
Lethal Vaccine
...No idea what has changed, but when I boot up IV, TLaD, TBoGT now, it's actually EASIER than when it was last September, October, and November when I was extremely into these GTA's and completing them to 100%, etc... How can you go from good, to better....without even playing it? I had no practice but driving feels natural in IV even with a few months hiatus in between. I can still do everything I used to be able to do, but better. It must be from watching so many Youtube Videos of IV and zmoonchild's Starter Save
housedeep
When I first played it, I got accustomed with the new features almost instantly, as I was already expecting these improvements. But I admit it took me a while to get used with the narrative, I wasn't familiar with this kind of story-telling. The dramatic story got me surprised and it took me a while to get familiar with it. UshaB
I never had to warm up, I kind of naturally grew into the mechanics. I loved it to beginning to the end. The darkness the grit, the......everything. Payne Killer
TheOneLibertonian
In all honesty, it felt weird for the very first time, but as soon as I got used to it, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. It was better than any GTA I have ever played before. I love VC and I admire San Andreas, but IV is the pinnacle of the GTA series, like how Empire Strikes Back was the pinnacle of the Star Wars series. GTA IV is like Empire Strikes Back, while GTA V is like The Phantom Menace. Payne Killer

SmokesWithCigs
It took me a while to get used to the driving. Sports cars handle well as they should but sedans and SUVs are a pain in the ass. They drive like those box trucks that are used for home invasions in San Andreas. The saving grace of the IV series are the add-on dlc games Niko is a bland protagonist even his clothes are lame.
