I sent mercenaries at a guy in a lobby and after a moment, the guy left the lobby. Merryweather never gave me a refund.

Is the money gone forever or will the mercenaries go to his next session?

I too noticed this, I hate that, because "Mercs" used to be the safe bet, because bounties let them or a fried collect the money, but with mercs either they get killed or you get you money back, BUT IF the Target leaves the session the DO get pursued by the Mercs in their next session BUT if they evade them you DO NOT get a refund, so if someone calls them on you it is like a slap in the face to simply leave the session and insure they will not get their money back.

 

I'll need to double check if they still follow you to the next session but I would assume they would just like a bounty does, they are a timed event that is either on or off, but I'll double check it later, but either way if they bail you get stiffed if they live, and I am not sure but I think you do still get the call if they get killed because I THINK I got the call AFTER a guy left the session, what was funny was it had been awhile and I forgot I had called them, and when I answered it it said the target was eliminated.
