Connection lost due to unknown error

I have not checked to see if any threads exist of this variety, mainly cause all thats ever posted is "look at my car appreciation thread", but with the upcoming heist release, is anyone else worried that connection issues will become the downfall of this long awaited hyped up dlc? Before the people who never have connection issues, open their mouths, a lot of people including myself have the issue of constantly getting disconnected in the middle of matchmaking sessions and I worry that I'll be in the middle of some intense sh*t while trying to complete the objective and then the host gets booted and everyone looses all their progress. I'm not sure if there's a function that'll save the progress everyone's made, but I strongly believe this sh*t of people constantly getting booted, that Rockstar has so graciously avoided actually fixing (they'd rather just tell you your connection is sh*t and to go reset your router), will finally catch up to them.

TL;DR: Anyone else worried about connection problems during the upcoming heists?

Lets not even talk about how sh*tty the servers will be on Day 1 release of the update. I think most of us remember the launch of GTA: Online.

You must not have looked very hard lol. I actually started a thread yesterday asking if anyone thought they'd stabilize the servers with the update, the majority took it as a joke :D

It sucks that despite all the delays, heists are launching with the game in such a sh*tty state.

"Unknown network errors" have NOTHING to do with Rockstar servers but with how your console processes your wifi. Plug your console in to your router or increase your speed. I haven't had a network error since moving up to 56kbs

That is not true the whole lobby must run together in order for someone in USA to see the same player movement as someone in England in order to do this the server has the near impossible job of achieving this and keeping it all together , as it cannot speed someone's connection up it has to dampen other players to fit , usually the slowest connection , so even though it's an immensely difficult job it is the server who is causing them

I'm hard wired with a 25 mbs and I get disconnected sometimes. And normally when that happens I do a speed test from my phone through wifi. Since Dec 26 I've done 5 test all around 21-24 mbs with 1 at 2.87 mbs, and that's wifi so I know the line is stronger. But yet it still happens to me. So it's either PS4 not communicating some how or R* servers. Unless for some reason my connection farted and then picked right back up.

Like I said it's very rarely your own connection , for the entire lobby to run in unison the server will obviously have to go with the slowest internet connection as faster ones can be adjusted down not vice versa ,

If you weigh up the evidence the fact same issues are happening across diff consoles all be it at diff degrees of problems point to an overloaded sever ,

I for one just wish rockstar would come out and acknowledge these problems for a company that specializes in computer software to stubbornly insist that it's not anything at there end it's individuals connections and/or settings ,bit of a coincidence these problems are the same for everyone regardless of how there connection is set up

I made a thread about this very problem a week ago. I don't think anybody responded so I figured I'm one of the very few.

I have a direct wired connection which throws all that wifi problem bs out the window. Gta is the only online game that gives me problems. I get kicked every 10-20 minutes a lot of the time.
