How do you think heists will effect the sale of shark cards?

Recommended Posts

The more players on the game, the better the sales. Don't expect to make enough money on heists to buy everything.

Rumor is that buying all the new vehicles will cost you at least 8 million. If true, lot's of people are going to buy shark cards.

It makes me wonder if this is the first and last big free DLC we will get. Now that we officially know that the main purpose of the cards was to fund DLC without splitting the playerbase, the criminal mastermind challenge looks like a payday that could bite into shark card sales which would be strange if they still relied on that money to fund development.

However now that the biggest free DLC is finally out of the way, it makes sense that they would put full focus on the story DLC that is rumored to be GTAIV episode levels of big. If it's really that big I'm very much doubting that it will be free which would mean shark cards wouldn't be as important to them as they has been so far if I'm. right

If anything they'll sell more of em. There will be a lot of people out there who've gone AWOL from GTAO due to lack of Heists, who'll also want all the new vehicles but won't have put in the time to make the money for em.

Personally, I won't ever buy a Shark Card but that's coz I play this game for fun, the money I make from having fun is a by-product. It's not a conspiracy, just an option. Try to remember that people.

It doesn't seem like heists are going to pay hugely from what the pre-release information has shown.

$540,000 split four ways for two - three hours work on just one of the heists. You could probably make the same grinding contact missions...

It is looking like Rockstar has included sufficient troll potential in the design of heists, so that few will be successful. So I would not expect a big windfall for the player base.

LMAO, the 10 million dollar challenge isn't going to effect shark card sales in the slightest. The main purchaser of shark cards are people who have very little time to play and don't spend that short time grinding missions. If anything shark card sales might increase slightly.

Even though I love having FREE DLC for GTA Online, I definitely want a paid DLC for story mode. Rockstar has made some pretty good story DLC with some of their other games over the years.

A) You can only get that $10 mil once, so it's not something people will be able to farm, and B) never underestimate GTAO players' ability to blow thru 10mil like it's nothing and start complaining again about how broke they are.

Heists will probably put a small dent in the sales, but not a big one, since they're mainly intended for people who don't have a lot of time to put into playing the game, but still want to buy some of the expensive things. Since heists will be pretty time-consuming, they'll mostly be done by the same people who spent a lot of time racing and playing contact missions, and those people were already earning money that way and had no reason to need to buy kesh kerdz...

I've never intended to buy a shark card.

Ive got 5.5 mil in the bank, I've played gta since release, I'm happy with the game and with this big free update that looks awesome, I think I just might in support of Rockstar.

With heists, daily challenges, etc.do you think shark cards will become less popular or useful?

the game is dead and this will be the last update so rockstar doesnt care about the shark cards anymore thats why they are giving away all this money now

I'm intending on grabbing a shark card. As my personal life has gotten busier and my work has become busier so I have very little time to play.

Im not buying everything but there are a few vehicles, clothing and masks i'd like to get.

it will not change much if at all even. people who buy them, will buy them. those that don't, won't.

seriously though, regardless of what actually happens their will always be conspiracy theorists with cash cards being the blame for everything in GTA.

No shark cards won't become less popular as we will be getting future updates and who knows what else we'll get after heists. :)

They will indirectly affect the sales. But rockstar has made the heist payouts exactly like missions, but increased due to the amount of time implemented, which makes it seem higher when in actuality the earnings are the same as with a mission.

How will they affect people's minds? People will probably buy less...

Incase you are wondering, there are some people who don't like the grind and just wanna buy cars and drive around. So they buy a Shark Card.

If anything Shark Card prices will increase, seeing as there are alot of people who can't do heists with friends.

You don't need to buy cash cards even if you don't like grinding, in a week playing the game you can afford any vehicle and upgrade it. You can try every car in single player first and that saves a lot of money in mp.
