IGN previews Heists. My opinion, what a joke.

Ign reviews Gtao heists with rave reviews. You really need to read into the story to see we all have been trolled.

Two years of hype for nothing.

From the article "The online heist we played was called “Raid on Humane Labs.” Our overall goal was to break into a laboratory, steal their data, and get out clean, splitting up $540,000 in the process. It featured five setup missions and then the heist itself, and from start to finish it took us almost exactly three hours."

So much for your big payout 135,000 per person in three hours = 45,000 an hour. That's if the sever does not crash on you.

They go on to say "I’m confident we could get that down to two-and-a-half or even two flat with an experienced, well-coordinated team..."

Ok that is still only 67.500 an hour with no hiccups.

Rockstar waited way too long, and paying out less than a standard mission run at modern pay rates.

What a joke.

If you read on you will find that there are an assortment of challenges that go along with the heist. Each challenge pays an additional sum of money. One that stuck out was completing the heist in 1st person.

Also the criminal mastermind challenge seems like it is worth the effort.

Additionally, they played the heist on normal difficulty. It is reasonable to assume the payout will be higher on hard difficulty

xInfamousRYANx

As long as cash cards exist then it will be very hard to earn BIG money legitimate.

this and edited. Preach to the choir tho. Most knuckleheads on gtaf it seems are blinded by well they dont force u to get them

Well let's be honest here. Who needs money at this point? After all the money glitches, billionaire days, and the game being there since 2013, I've run out of things to buy. I can buy more cars for my second character, but I don't need them.

I will be playing it for the new gameplay. The new vehicles probably won't even dent my balance at this point, and I'll be replaying the heists alot so money is no issue. If the daily challenges are easy, you might get even more cash than you expect right now. I think we will all swim in money and then wonder what to buy soon enough.

How about the new comers? The people that just bought the game? Oh yeah they don't count, right?

If you really thought that heists were to instantly make everyone a millionare, you're stupid.

I think the payout is fine, and that is the like 3rd out of 5th heist.

I think the payout is fine and will be worth it to have a new fun dynamic to do.

Pretty much, I can't stand IGN. They became such whores over these past years. I can't even take them seriously. They hyped The Crew up badly, even did some lame "challenge" with all the editiors shortly after the game came out. And they dont even play it. I was watching one of the live streams, they were playing GTAO. The one jackass was looking for a tourbus online? Uh, what? They play video games for a living? I swear most of them are morons.

Well, for the newcomer/casual player, the payouts should seem awesome. Most people don't keep track of their $ per hour, they just like seeing a big paycheck.

I'm sorry I'm sitting on 6 million and I think the payout are a joke. If that is true only $45,000 an hour, I guess most people will play for the fun of it? Sorry to bring it up again but cash cards are killing payouts badly. You're suppose to make money on a heist, not chump change.

It will be easier for them than for you when you started. The newcomers get assault rifles, homing launcher and explosives from rank 1. You were a peasant until at least rank 25 excited about the first assault rifle. The pay out when you played was nerfed to hell (2000 for that High priority case mission lol, might as well rob a store) they get a much bigger payout now. They get to play heists from level 12 while you are probably in the 100's or 200's. They won't be bored for a long time.

Hey... most of dont care.. We just want something fun and new to play.

They'll be fine. Hopefully they'll be paired with more experienced players so they wont have to tackle all the hard work themselves. 45k an hour for a newcomer? thats not bad. If they wanna become a millionaire overnight, cash cards. If they dont wanna go that route, then they're gonna have to have some patience, and save up like us old-timers did. The money will come. For a newcomer, I think their primary worry should be having fun pulling off a well coordinated heist with some friends.

I had the special edition of the game ;) I had nice guns day one. Sure payouts might be better then day one BUT you need someone to front up the cash for a hesit mission. So if 4 new players decide to do a heist mission with these payouts, whats the point? I can do a few jobs in 20 minutes and make more money.

2- 3 hrs to complete a single heist? That's a pretty long time for one sitting. Forget about the possible mediocre payout, or the risk of playing with randoms. How about the numerous connection, and time out errors that everyone gets(which seems to be getting worse a lot lately too). Or the people that may not have the time to play for more than 2hrs? I can just see the forum exploding with threads complaining about getting disconnected right in the middle of the final heist mission, and getting nothing, especially the first couple weeks.

No. Not for much...

The newcomers haven't had to wait in anticipation for heists like those of us whom have been playing since launch and since they were promised. In all that time, those of us whom would still grind on playing the game, earning and saving (or not).

I've kept my character at a legit 10 million at all times, just in case heists of some kind of limited DLC were to drop that I had interests in dropping some cash into. If I ever wanted something besides, I'd grind away until I could afford it... but I always considered that 10 mil to be my "cash in the mattress".

I honestly think R* is taking it too easy on you new-comers, opening up heists at level 12. Should've been level 50 minimum.

I really can't say I could trust a low-level player to have enough gameplay exp. to allow them to even be on my heist team. Even if level isn't indicative of skill, IT IS indicative of their available arsenal, health, and armor.

Didn't they also mention the each prep job paid 20k each?

Yes, and who knows what the prep missions for the other heists will pay...

With the heist challenges, daily challenges, new free roam activities, heist replay ability, and the ability to choose how heist payouts are split.. A new comer (or any player) in the right crew will have PLENTY of opportunity to make bank.

You can leave and come back at any time. Come on, man.

I suppose the novel concept of playing them cuz they sound like a lot of fun is like a foreign language to you, isn't it? LOL, 2 of my 3 predictions of heists have already come true:

1: "They don't pay enough!" Check.

2: "That's it? That's all they are? They just sound like glorified missions." Check. (And BTW, what the hell did anyone expect them to be?)

3: "These are freaking impossible to do! F this--let's go do a race or something." Just waiting for Tuesday for that one...

Considering newcomers can just do a few missions and make more money an hour, yeah that's bad. We need better game modes, not hesits. Heists just seems like a gamble and most players problem will lose more money then it's worth.

1. It's ign and developers. they said themselves in the article that they parachuted out of a helicopter, hit a lamp post, and died. You will likely be able to finish the heist within an hour- hour and a half.

2. They were playing on normal. On hard, you will likely get more money, just like missions now.

3. Challenges give cash bonuses.

4. You'll be killing massive amounts of enemies, pick up their cash and you will likely get an easy additional 20k.

5. Different heists have different payouts.

I'm not worried about the money at all

Not a broke newb moron. Played since day 1. So bored with the game all I see is R* stretched out missions to extreme time limits and pay you even less. Thrills.
