Pearlescent on Matte Paint Colors

Recommended Posts

Hopefully I am not reposting this, if I am could one of the mods delete it please? I just recently found out how to do this, and wanted to share the love!

When in LSC

Respray > Primary Color > Matte > Black

*****hit back once, and click metallic, but do not select anything*****

***Buy any different License plate**

You will now be able to click:

Respray > Primary Color > Pearlescent

it will allow you to place pearlescent colors over top of Matte, this can also be done for metals, or chrome, but does not show up as well.

enjoy!!

I am very sorry if I am reposting something that someone else already has in a different thread! I just recently learned this during gameplay, sorry again!

And just for the record, you don't have to start with matte black. You can use any matte color, or any metals color. (You could also do it on a classic color, but the only difference between classics and metallics is that metallics are more expensive and unlock the pearlescent menu...so you can save some money on a metallic/pearlescent paint job by going with the classic version of the color instead of the metallic version.) In fact, you can use the same trick to change the pearlescent on metallic paint, just start at the part where you go into the metallic menu but don't buy anything, and continue from there.

Can you do Chrome w/ pearlescents?

It Kind of shows up, but nowhere near as much as the patched crew color/chrome style. Some colors show a little while others not really, I'd recommend trying it on a vehicle you already have chrome, or one of the chromed out dubsta2's, that way if you don't like the color no harm done paying for chrome! (:

You don't have to use matte black, you can use any color matte, I think using black provides a different spectrum of normally unobtainable colors in my own opinion..

Before I knew of this I would experiment with different weird colors to try to find new ones that would pop out.

One of my favorites was: Metallic Wine Red with Pearlescent Race Yellow-gives an amazing darker gold color

Some awesome Matte Black with Pearlescent's:

Pearlescent Ultra Blue

Pearlescent Bright Purple

Pearlescent Torino Red

Pearlescent Yellow (goldenbronze) and Pearlescent Hot Pink

If you have a Zentorno try using the matte/pearlescent for the primary color, and just a metallic/classic for the secondary

For Example:

Primary-Matte Black/Pearlescent Hot Pink

Secondary - Hot Pink

Primary-Matte Black/Pearlescent Lime Green

Secondary - Lime Green

Primary-Matte Black/Pearlescent Ultra Blue

Secondary - Ultra Blue

Primary-Matte Black/Pearlescent Torino Red

Secondary - Torino Red

Etc. Etc...

I'm sure you guys know what I mean, hope this helps someone!

Thanks, it's the little things that make a difference.

Your welcome! And thanks to everyone else, this is only my 3rd thread on here, I'm starting to get the hang of it. I was hoping the community would take it easy on me if this was in the wrong place, or a repost lol you guys rock! Edited by JoshD4PreZ

I've painted my Zentorno matte blue (the bright one) with a hot pink pearlessent. Classic Shafter Purple 2nd color. with purple lights and tire smoke. The coloring in daylight is almost confusing. My brain struggles to make sense of what it's seeing, that or I REALLY need to start taking those meds the doctor prescribed....
