I haven't been on the game or forums lately but can someone tell me if they took out the pearlescent on crew color trick? I just dropped like 100,000 grand trying to do the glitch and it doesn't look like it works anymore.

 

Does anyone know an alternate or new method? Wow, I can't believe they took this away. It totally limits your color options now. No point in these hex colors. Having a unique car/color was one of the fun things about the game...

Sounds like the OP was trying to "have fun." It had to be nerfed. :p

Aaaaaand this is why Rockstar must implement a colour preview feature.

 

 

So we have a glitch for free paintjobs that end in a hotfix that removes half of the colors the same way we can't have crew emblems on leather jackets? No thanks.

Actually it was believed that this was removed in error and would return at some point as if they had intended

to remove it they'd have removed all the other paint combo's Matte on Pearl etc.

 

I'd wait and see what happens after next week's update.

It was an accidental glitch that got accidentally patched. I doubt R* is going to put energy into fixing something that was never intended in the first place... unless it of course gets accidentally put back. Lol.

 

I still hope those glory days come back though. I saved all my hex codes just in case.

It still works on ps3 an i did it a few days back on XB1,so yeah....thread closed

Doesnt work on ps3, i tried and it didnt work

 

Well idk what you are doing i just painted my atv just now lol,lime green with a yellow pearl so idk

Aaaaaand this is why Rockstar must implement a colour preview feature.

 

 

 

I don't know why they don't just charge you for whatever you applied after you leave? You should be able to add/subtract anything for free so you can see what the different colours look like when applied together.
